Shouldn't it then be named G-spot? If a program of such a name were to exist, would any male users be able to find it, let alone use it?

For me, as a non-engineer, this is quite difficult to get my head around although the example of the differential given above is a useful one. The bit I don't understand is why the secondary motor to control the ratio doesn't require the same power as the primary motor. For example, given the differential set up described above, wouldn't the second motor (where one of the wheels would normally be) have to provide just as much power as the primary at any speed other than full speed (where the secondary motor could be locked)?

I guess the bit I'm missing is how speed but not torque is taken out the system. Anyone care to provide a handy link with some background reading? (Something other than "go get an engineering degree" ;-) )

I think it's a pretty bold assumption to suggest that only 75% of that traffic is illegal P2P traffic. Speaking from my own experiences at university i'm sure that figure is more like 90% giving 1,845 x 0.1 x 30 = 5535MB... oh wait... yeah Verizon are crooks.

I can't speak for the American tax system but in the UK there has been a number of anti-avoidance rules added throughout the years to stop people avoiding tax by receiving goods as a form of remuneration. It did actually use to be the case in the UK that people would be paid in speed boats, race horses etc in order to avoid income tax (and national insurance contributions).

Interestingly enough the situation you describe above where an employee is "paid in cars" but is then taxed on the sale of the car does not hold true in the UK... cars are specifically exempted from capital gains tax. Even if this was not the case, saying that the sale will be taxed elsewhere has never stopped governments in the past. You only have to look at inheritance tax in the UK where income an individual has earned throughout their lifetime (and paid income tax on) is then taxed again on death.

On a slightly more on topic note... betting, gambling and lottery winnings are exempt from income tax in the UK :-)

As (the second) Opera user, I agree. How many times have you submitted a form with one of the other browsers on the market (*cough* IE) and the submission failed, only to be told upon hitting the back button that the page has timed out?

As long as Opera provides a facility for disabling this new feature (although it does sound quite handy) then i can't see why anyone would have reason to complain. I find it hard to believe that they have implemented this feature to be "evil" and track your every move. I think it's more likely that they are responding to the competition. At the end of the day they're trying to do us all a favour.... oh yeah and make some money :-)
