I have always wondered what the need is for gadgets like these. I don't often want to watch TV whilst I'm driving, or to dictate a letter at the same time. And if I want good music where I am, just burn a CD of it and use my discman.
Will these go the way of my friends Palm VII? In the corner collecting dust, still in its cradle?
I was using IE4.0 back in the old days of Windows 95. Well, actually, they just gave the version number of Windows (around 4.0.whatever) to the IE that came with it. Kind of foreshadowing with their whole integration thing I guess.
I'm sure you all know the system is busy processing requests. In the meantime, how does one find out how many names are currently on the list before submitting? Am I just overlooking a link?
All of these comments have been about whether it runs BoOS or Linux, etc. But no one, to my knowledge, has addressed the question of the internet service. The machine connect to a Microworkz server? They would have a captive audience and could jack up the price of the service per month. If you don't want the Mindworkz service, or whatever service comes with it, can you choose a different service and still have the same functions? Or are you stuck with a $200 paperweight?
I didn't know that that many /.ers actually watched the Oscars. It's not a show that I'd stay awake till midnight to watch. Oh, well.

Even if data corruption should occur, a source said, the result would be nothing more than a system freeze, easily fixed with a restart.
Windows users could get very used to this.
Well, it is the Russian space program. Maybe the rocket will blow up.
Catpital is what you find on your carpet if you don't clean your cat's litter box for awhile...
Great. Now I have to put a blanket on top of my dreamcast.
The article mentions the Internet was created nine years ago... Is this the same Internet that Al Gore invented?
I just think the people that made the foundations (like the creators of ARPAnet, etc.) should be given a little credit, that's all.
Wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy a Gameboy? At least you get colour screens...
