But why are there legal issues? My girlfriend tells everyone we're married, we've been together longer than most marriages last (at least among all of our friends who got married) and yet we don't have the same rights as married people I can't get on her work insurance or file taxes jointly. How is this fair or equal?
Do you support freedom and equality between married and unmarried people, or do you support some people are more equal than others? Why shouldn't my girlfriend of 40 years and I be able to file a joint income tax? Why shouldn't she have have the right to my medical questions if I should become incapacitated? Why shouldn't we have the same rights as married people?
Why do you consider it dystopian? Many consider it utpoian. Just because it's different doesn't mean that it's bad and if people really want it, why stop them?
How much latest learning is there in an undergraduate math class? Even my three grad math classes on applied mathematics covered hundred year old material. The only thing new was that you could now visualize things on a computer and that was only as difficult as typing in an equation and clicking plot.
Interesting question. Anything much over 2m would be thrown off (not much tensile strength (pulling apart as contrasted with compression strength) in rock). That goes for the atmosphere too as it would eventually spin up to orbital velocity where it could escape with much less energy
As far as life goes, there is a significant biome below the Earth's crust. If you were underground, you wouldn't notice anything other than low gravity and a strong Coriolis effect.
That's the universe for you. The 'law' exists in nature...lot's of grass, bunnies have babies, eat all the food until there is no little left, then the bunnies die off and it becomes harder to be a bunny. Unless you are into the whole intelligent design thing.
The average student loan is about $30k.(http://money.cnn.com/2013/12/04/pf/college/student-loan-debt/index.html). Inflation adjusted, that's $16k in 1990. The median college grad wage is ~$45k.
Then come the homeowners defaulting on their loans
And I'll be there waiting for the good deals using the money I saved up over the last 10 years by living like I did in college instead of buying Mercedes cars like my coworkers. Not really rocket science. I bought my last two houses with cash in 2008 and retired young.`
This is strange. A couple years ago the NYT had an article about how it was less expensive to rent and that people should not be buying their own house. I argued that it was better to own, but the over whelming number of people said it was more economical to rent.
not sure why California costs so much for the same thing
I've lived in all three states and as a coworker in Santa Barbara put it: "You're paying for the weather". FL and TX are hellish miserable at times. I've been on the beach in CA at all times of the year and don't have to worry about AC in my house or death of heat stroke if I don't have AC in my car (I had neither). I've been on the beach in west palm beach in August and felt like I was suffocating in the steam bath.
That's worth quite a bit to some.
Special rights to special groups is how the government divides the people and enslaves us.
Like the married group and the unmarried groups?
There are certain benefits granted to married couples. Many
And why shouldn't unmarried couples or singles have those same rights?

I'm an asexual nerd. Where are equal rights for unmarried people?
It would actually take about 8 years.
The tuning is science, no art involved. /My degree was in digital control loops and worked on rockets.
In 20 years the patents will be up. Best to get it out of the way while not much can be done about it.
Even to unmarried couples?

There are 1,138 benefits, rights and protections provided on the basis of marital status that single people do not have. Do you really want to live in a society that denies basic rights to people because they are not married?

Iridium: providing cell phone service to penguins is one of the mock slogans. 70% of Earth is water, and has cell phone availability.
Yes, this was a scene from Real Genius.
It's already collapsed.
Median college debt is only about $30k which is not bad.

Because share holders only care about the next quarter and aren't in it for the long run.

People are fickle.

It's not the market, it's freedom that is the problem.
