Seems like if you were clever enough, you could make a Mindstorm set do it. Have it check for motion within a certain distance, set up a time wasting loop (so it waits before it strikes), then WHACK! No more roachie. Maybe you would make it roam around known roach-infested areas. Would it be possible to make it respond to motion only from small objects? Coz you don't want it running around whacking the dog or cat...

I usually don't respond to deliberate flamebait posts, but here's my thoughts on the doorstop macs. I used to hang out at an internet lan gaming shop (16 computers, 14 pcs 2 macs) that was placed right next door to a mac shop. When it would rain we'd prop the door open with one of the original black and white macs, because due to their size, weight, and the handle on the top, they actually made great doorstops. Anyway, this thing would get wet, accidentally kicked, etc. on a regular basis.
One day, out of curiousity, I decided to plug it in (expecting it to explode or short out). After a couple of seconds of humming, it popped up with a question mark disk on the screen. It was looking for an OS boot disk! I couldn't believe my eyes. This thing actually wanted to work. Ran next door, got a super old-school boot floppy and the damn thing ran.
They just don't make 'em like they used to, do they?

Man, I didn't expect so many people to make my post look like a Troll. All I was asking was, why is it necessary for them to charge $30 more for their newest distribution AT THE COUNTER OF A COMPUTER STORE than Redhat 5.2 cost? Don't you think that in alot of stores (such as Best Buy or CompUSA), where Redhat and Windoze 98 upgrade sit side by side, that Redhat would look more attractive if it were cheaper? I'm not saying it should be $10 because most consumers think 'if it's cheap it's gotta suck'. But why not keep their original price and cut the price on their old distro? Weird marketing if you ask me.
But then again, last time I checked, full color box graphics cost a little bit more.

A pecking order need not be established and enforced throughout one's schooling in order to educate someone. Geeks persecuted? What's new. Anyone different in this 'be like everyone else' sheep society will get singled out and fscked with. I should know, I fought the fights and wore the bruises for being not only a skateboarder in an anti-skateboarding town but also a geek. I guess by proxy in my situation being one made me the other. At any rate, I'm putting my money on the 'jane dark has no clue what being different is like' bet and it pays 100:1. That's unprecedented. Maybe Lucas is indeed milking the cash cow for all it's worth (the commercial with Colonel Sanders holding the light saber, what has this world come to) but at least save something for us adults that made him rich in the first place.

Anakin, who will eventually be Darth Vader, shouldn't be yelling Yippee every five minutes. Anakin leaving home wasn't convincing at all; I think his fate as an actor is pretty much sealed. Looking forward to some Life cereal commercials is he, says Yoda. Too many kids and disney-esque characters ruined it for me. Jar Jar was beyond annoying, to the point where I wanted to scream just to keep from hearing his retarded gibberish. I gotta give some credit to his voice actor though. It takes amazingly mad skill to sound that close to Roger Rabbit and even pull off Bill Cosby's 'going to the dentist' and 'mushmouth' (fat albert) impressions. Weak. Very weak. Fight scenes: incredible. Spaceships exploding: average. Jet pods: fast, and nice to watch tumble and explode at 300 mph. Character development: nearly nonexistant. Mace Windu: 3 lines, and none of them involved the word 'muthafucka'. I was shocked. All in all I give it a 7 out of 10. Hope the Clone Wars has no children/ewoks/wacky cg characters in it, or I just may skip it all together.

Just as you would like your car to have air conditioning and a cd/cassette player, so too will these gui's have options that match. Flame wars? Not necessary.
