So... he was charged with reading?

If so then clearly you have nothing to worry about.

Huh, the person may not comprehend your sarcasm either! :)

  2. Wish I could skim a couple percent off every transaction too. I'd be all for an alternative to cash as long as it was managed without transaction fees by the local government backed issuer of the currency. Time to nationalize Visa/Mastercard?

Some things like: "card cash" "auto/health insurance" must need to nationalized - or must be made as non-profit with CEO salary not exceeding 10 times the lowest paid employee.

Free market is not always good. H1B is not the issue here. The greediness of US investors/shareholders are. CEOs are measured by how they add value to investor, not how they increase value for the whole nation (that is usually in the domain of Govt and regulations) If CEOs are supposed to take care of "share holders" interest, and the majority of share holders (by value) in the market are citizen's of united states. That means US people (read 1% rich) wants this type of free market. Free market is not fair-market. The employees should think about these things, and act in elections.

A subordinate in engineering should follow order (verbal or written) otherwise s/he can be fired for insubordination, or should quit, or become whistleblower. In this case, considering that multiple systems are coordinating to detect "pollution test runs", most likely it came from top to all those sub teams that implemented that. Those sub teams (engineers) cant be liable for following orders. Btw, it is a matter of time, whistle blowers will crop up to caugh up the truth [hush money may keep put-a-lid-on-it for a while not forever].

Some Indians (particularly some Hindus) consider Cow urine as having medicinal properties - according to Vedas. So they use cow urine in some ritualistic drinks. :). Sounds funny, but it may have some basis though it may not have written scientific reasoning. The western "rationalized drug discovery" is relatively new compared to other drug-discovery-by-just-observation.
