what he should have said was "...i'm from the California department of security and upon random testing your password is weak..." - that would have been believed...
there is a one computer, one person, and one dog. the person's job is to feed the dog. the dog's job is ensure the person never, ever touches the computer.
who said anything about efficiency? price is determined by supply and demand. socialism said efficiency...each as needed and such. capitalism never said anything about efficiency except maybe about price. but I repeat myself..
do you mean why is a voting system on windows? that is not what was reported. garden variety phishing with a landing domain that looks like Microsoft. has nothing to do with a voting system.
back in the day you called locally to a stack of modems in the central office and used ppp to authenticate. the phone company still uses much of that infrastructure for authentication on dsl (pppoe - point to point over Ethernet). nowadays it's fiber in the CO or at the cable head end owned by Comcast or Verizon (in my old neighborhood) and they've cut a deal with the local city or county to have a monopoly. None or that has anything to do with net neutrality but it was good to travel down memory lane!
from the story: "...Under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act, health-care providers are required to "take precautions to safeguard against theft, loss, as well as unauthorized collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal of your personal health information" and ensure that health records are retained securely.
Violations of the act can lead to prosecution. If found guilty, companies can be fined up to $500,000, while individuals may be fined up to $100,000..."
unfortunately we've removed your rating as it violates our policy. his rant was not against amazon per se but the state of our education system. but I diverge.

create misleading domain, send phishes, catch morons ("...I don't know them, I wasn't expecting an attachment, I think i'll open it!..."), infect machines, repeat.

no they don't give him more choice in isp's
please leave your message at the sound of the click...click, buzzzz....
many times the funding has come from them too...why is this bad anyhow? no one has stated that in any realistic terms.
"... Sure, it doesn't allow him more choice in terms of ISP..."
in Europe they just guess based on what health care has cost
the one thing I can see them using the data is for setting the rate based on healthy they perceive the community to be. seems fair.

net neutrality does absolutely nothing for you. your local utility commission has done a deal to lock the others out.
