An injunction? Against a comic strip? I don't think so. At most, they'd just ask you to pull existing offending material and don't make any new offending material.
Last night's Simpsons wasn't too bad, either. Especially the part with that Heimlich Maneuver Machine where the lady spits out the food, walks down, then trips and falls on it.
The good thing about Red Hat is that you can make changes and redistribute them as your own distribution. The thing to do would be to make Redhat LSB compliant and redistribute it to the masses. If it's really a popular idea, it'll take off and Redhat will probably take notice.
Note for people in the Baltimore/Washington area -- Hamboree/Computerfest is this weekend at the Timonium Fairgrounds.. Lots of computer hobbyists there, so there's bound to be some Linux persons wandering around or selling stuff. Plus they have that cool food. LINK
Do you guys realize how convenient it is to have all audio on demand? I've ripped all my CDs- its just so wonderful.
I love having everything on demand. It's great, since I don't have to spend 10 minutes looking through my sea of CDs for one specific title. Instead, I spend 11 minutes looking for whatever cryptic filename I gave the MP3, and which directory it's in.;>
It has to be Microsoft behind all the bullying, seeing as how the only things segfault seems to make fun of are M$ and Linux. And I doubt Linus is bullying them.
Microsoft has that Windows 2000 deadline to meet. Why don't they work on that?
There's already at least one up and running. Screenshot
The two main problems why I haven't gone public with mine are: 1) No sensible way to implement slashdot's banner advertisements 2) Comment/story copyright
Another idea would be to have two "score" ratings, one scored by moderator, and one scored by users. An option on the user account preferences screen could give a user the opportunity to base thresholding of comments on either the moderator score, or the user score. This would probably be hell to implement cleanly (stopping multiple scoring requests on one post, etc.), but it sounds like it'd be neat.
They just promoted a buttload of people to moderators, so there's bound to be some rough edges. Try setting your threshold to like -400 or something.:)
Lawsuit. Yeah, right. And M$ is selling Linux.
April Fools.. Maybe the whole Segfault thing is in on it too.
I'd buy it. Where do I send the cash?
Well, shoot. Right when you get into the habit of reading something..
Anyone up for making a Slashdot theme for blackbox?
That'd be funny if the DOJ came in and split up their new divisions.
The not common people.

Segfault.org got the lawyer letter from M$ today.

Looking forward to the new Slash code release..

I doubt Windows users will buy this. When was the last time you saw one of them use a keyboard?

Anyway, just my -$0.02.
Kick Microsoft in the nuts.
At that price I'd better be able to reformat the book and install a Unix on it..

Microsoft's left brain cell doesn't know what its right brain cell is doing.
They're running scared. I never thought I'd see the day that Microsoft was put into ultra-paranoid panic mode, but here we are.
I can bet people will be tipping these things over just to get the CD burners.
Better stay away from any show that Microsoft is at, then..
