Some Qualcomm QCP phones will let you spy on other people's SMS messages if you send a SMS to yourself full of high-bit characters. This was working with Bell Titanic's email-to-SMS gateway a few months back, not sure about now. It was kind of weird to get people's backup failure notices, NOCOL errors, and Oracle alerts though.
can't the Apache Foundation change their licence to prohibit the MPAA from using Apache on their servers?
Open source is about lifting restrictions, not placing them. I mean, I hate the DVD CCA as much as the next person, but once you let them compromise your ideals, you're done for.
Jet Set Radio is the best game I have played in a long, long time.
I agree. Jet Set Radio is the most innovative thing I've seen come out of the game industry in a long time. Sega's always trying new stuff, and that's what makes for a good, enjoyable game. The music, sfx, and graphics are all top notch.
Not to mention how fun it is to knock over that dumbass cop.;>
It seems like their techs are there just to pull a paycheck. I had to call their service center on a few occasions for a customer. You will get the occasional "you wouldn't believe how bad it is here. Please, call the public service commission and file a complaint. That's the only way it'll get better."
Hell, I even spoke to a manager in their DSL division who told me, "Hey bud, to be honest, just between you and me, cancel your circuit. Go with Covad or Northpoint. We're just way saturated right now."
Bell Titanic: "The Heart of Communication".. needs a triple-bypass operation.
A good number of their games on the Dreamcast have brought the fun back into gaming. Crazy Taxi (rip through a city trying to deliver passengers on time), Samba de Amigo (the one with the maracas and dancing monkey), Jet Set Radio (spraypaint everything in sight) are just a few.
Waiting for my Saturn to arrive so I can play NiGHTS..
Another fun AoE cheat, if I recall correctly, happened if you loaded one of your villagers onto an enemy's transport ship. Not only could you lead the transport around into your warships' waiting guns (the ship follows the villager so he can board), but your villager when on the enemy transport would be invisible. Off the map. No team-color indicator in the little map window. So unless your opponent saw you board the ship (unlikely) or happens to dump his transport on-shore, you could hide for the entire length of the game until the other players go mad trying to find you and quit.
We have found an identifying characteristic of their ActiveX client that can be used to ban them from an IRC server (until chatscan does a rewrite). The only problem is we don't know how other non-mainstream clients will respond to this kind of test.
I've been following this closely since word of the successful port got out a few days ago.
NetBSD was able to get their code bootstrapped due to a programming backdoor left in by Sega which lets the console be started from the second session of a standard CDROM, as opposed to sega's proprietary GDROM format. This was the same method used by the Gameshark CDX disc. Unfortunately, due to recent innovations using this boot method, Sega is rumored to be phasing out the backdoor in the newest releases of the Dreamcast to keep third-party developers happy.
Anyway, I hope Sega gets themselves in gear and releases the Dreamcast NIC sometime soon. Then all we need is a NetBSD-based distributed.net client disc..;>

That marioland remix is excellent.. Definitely recommended.
Now all we have to do is wait ten years for someone to remix Sega's excellent Jet Set Radio soundtrack. Although, there's at least one song in the game that I'm sure won't make it to the US.. (:
Emerald Coast from Sonic Adventure wouldn't make a bad remix either.
Don't forget that you can also bounce clients somewhere else with a HTTP Location header. It makes forwarding people to different pages quick, clean, and easy.
It's not the second track; it's specific to the second actual session of the disc (which is where the game's filesystem would reside on a normal GD). That way you can still load an ISO filesystem for a PC along with a few tracks of standard CD audio in the first session of the disc, like what is done to accomplish those nutty GDROM warning messages.
If you have a Dreamcast, try out Jet Set Radio. Totally new, and fun.

..but can you take screenshots with it? (:
There was a PC in Tachibana General Labs, iirc.

That was during the whole O.J. thing. Peter Jennings never even saw it coming. :-)

Yes. The reason being that the person making the update is Robin "Roblimo" Miller, not Rob Malda. :)

We know what Judge Jackson really wants to do..
The Gameshark CDX disc for Dreamcast can also break region locks with no hardware mods required, even though it's not an advertised feature.
