KDE should have something similar to red-carpet (www.ximian.com) where it notifies that there are necessary/important updates for the machine, it would be handy to have this app run at user defined times (ex: nightly, whenever im logged into my isp...,etc) then if it does find updates/fixes, it could promt the user if they want it installed, if so, they must enter su password...etc..etc..etc

FYI to those who are *trying* kde, if you have to upgrade the rpm package, note that it will break red-carpet!
I diagree, I think "attack of the clones" is a horrible name....it reminds me of that dumb as hell movie "attack from mars" which i refuse to watch based upon the title itself...
Its too bad we all have to suffer, jsut because some (okay..most) people use microsoft products....those of us that choose to run linux (and yes...we usually have webservers) are being block when we arent even perpetuating the virus...
There was on here in cinci, www.bluestarshows.com , i guess they go around the states or something. (up to 80% off on mechandice!) heh. maybe this is the jamboree type thing tou didn't mean...
first of all, i know I wouldn't want a virus continuously polling to see it someone is trying use a backdoor, hell i dont need the slowdown after the virii is history... second, is it ethical to "fix" someone else's machine?
I think someone needs to write virii to combat these Code Red virii....although that would probably increase the network slowdown...for a while anyways..
Yea, the internet sure doesn't seem like what it used to be, it used to be more "free" people didn't worry about "intellectual property", everyone did what they wanted, posted what they wanted and it was all o.k., if you couldnt handle it, get out....now we have to worry about what we post on site, we worry about whether our webpages will be considered someone else's property...blah blah blah......anyways thats my little rant.
Hey isn't putting space ghost up there on the logo infringing on some sort of intellectual property of whoever owns space ghost?

One of these PDA's + IBM's ViaVoice + At&t's speech software + the Universal Manipulator == Ultimate tamagachi pet...
Then again, a pissed off tamagotchi that can manipulate its environment, and talk back to you might be a bad idea..
I would pay for it, if it was worth paying for, yes I paid 80 bucks for RedHat6.0, just because I thought it was worth paying for. and yes I *DID* have access to a burned copy. =P

Anyone know how to get ahold of one of the linuxcare ones?
Why not make a standard GUI, but still keep it simple to replace the gui to the user's liking?
