The board games they're offering may actually persuade me to pick up a 360 someday... I own and play all these board games, but it's tough to find the time/players the older I get.
Online play would mean I could play whenever I want.
One thing I'm wondering though is will they put in the random endings for when you reach the middle of the board in Talisman?
After surviving the wandering dragons, ghouls, giants, trolls and a devil... after surviving your friends many assassination attempts and finishing the quest for the crazy wizard to get the Talisman so you could survive the Inner Layers and then you climb your way to the Crown of Commands room... you flip the random card and.... you get sucked into the Horrible Black Void.
Then you endure the endless mocking of your friends.
I hope they keep this in the game... i need to take this out on random people over the internets.
I suppose you're right... that water was pretty difficult, but I dunno... I didn't seem to mind the ending too much. Plus I don't like quitting games part way through.
I like Jonathon Coulton's stuff most of the time...
here's another band you may like... not quite the style of JC, but one of my favs, The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets: http://www.thickets.net/
Cthulhu inspired geek-rock. Throw in a sci-fi album, songs inspired by superheroes, songs inspired by science, even songs inspired by toys from the '80s... fun stuff!
Here's the lyrics to their Math Song (at least as transcribed by some lyric site):
Y
Y equals X over 5
5 to the power of Zi
Zi is the square root of 3
3 is the number for me
I said
X
X by the tangent of N
N minus pi over 10
That equals negative 9
Negative 9 is so fine
You've got a brain
And nobody really needs another love song
Love song
N
N is the product of V
V and the cosine of 3
Cube that and add 44
And not an integer more
Baby
V
V equals 1 through the sum
The sum of 101
And 83 over 5
What is the value of Y?
You've got a brain
And nobody really needs another love song
Love song
I posted this earlier... The Two Towers refers to both the two actual towers of Orthanc and Barad-Dur, but also the two 'towers' of a different sort, Frodo and Sam.
I'm pretty sure Tolkien was talking not only about the tower's of Orthanc and Barad-Dur, but also was making a bit of a joke about Frodo and Sam.
At the start of "The Two Towers" (end of "The Fellowship of the Ring") Frodo and Sam break off from the rest of the Fellowship. They are "towers" of a different kind.
""I have another question. Why do people in Ontario elect Mike Harris, the most right-wing guy in the world, and then go and throw all their support for a left-wing federal party like the grits? What's up with that? People in Ontario need to get their collective head out of their ass. Can you tell I'm from the West?""
I used to live in Ontario, and now live in BC... I think one reason people in Ontario voted in Harris was the same reason Campbell just got in here in BC... reaction against an NDP government who f8cked things up.
Also, some people, I think, like the idea of a Federal government that likes to spend, and perhaps would give more money to the provinces (I know it's not happening) and then a more conservative government that would control carefully the money it was given.
The problem I see is with the conservative governments, things tend to go too much in favour of the rich and greedy (ie. big corporations).
And I don't know how the hell the BC Liberals can call themselves Liberal... who do they think they're fooling? Oh wait... all of BC.

Psychonauts was definitely my favourite game I played last year... I highly recommend anyone to play it through to the end.
Maybe then the publishing companies will give us the sequel that this game (and it's brilliant creator) deserves.
