I have used Mandrake as my server OS, desktop, and laptop OS for years now (since 6.x if i rememeber correctly). I really like the some features that Mandrake has (the Control Center, drake, etc..). But I have started using Gentoo, and now i'm in love again. The last Mandrake install 8.2 was just.....to easy, everything worked off the bat. With Gentoo you have to work a lot at the beginning and have a lot more control. The next gentoo install CD will use GCC 3.1. Portage KICKS ASS. Every distro should use something simular. It's some much better than RPM hell (reminds me of dll hell).
We, the call-ies, should also be able to get the phone numbers and history of the specific person and all their managers (up to the CEO) who spam call us. This would make it fair.
He's got some good points. I'm a linux user (Gentoo) and I can do everything in Linux (minus a few windoze only apps), but the average user (my mom) can't even use windows right. For her to go to the command line is impossible.
I have been using linux for about 3 or 4 years now. I have not come accross any "main stream" vender that activactly (pay coders to write drivers) for linux. The reason is that they like be f**** over by bill , and they don't care. There is no reason why Nvidia, ATI, Creative, Intel, AMD, RealTEK, Netgear, VIA, or all the others should not write drivers for linux, hell they give away the windoze dirvers anyway.
These companies need to grow some balls!!!

I liked the Loan Gunmen (Fox didn't give it a chance, what was it 4 or 5 episodes). The episode was very good, up until they got killed. I would liked to have seen them save the world, get new funding, live to fight another day, and continueing with saving the world. Mulder didn't even show up for the furneral!!!!
With X-Files ending, EFC sucking, no order for Futurama, Stargate with only 1 season left (and Daniel done), Andromeda geting worse, Invisiable Man cancled (my favorite), Lexx cancled (it's a good laugh), 7 Days gone, Specail Unit 2 gone.......sci-fi fans have had a really really bad year or so.
The only bright spot is that Enterprise is getting better.
