Spray on computer. http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/08/2 4/054219&mode=thread&tid=126&tid=137 Then spray on a monitor..umm oh yes, spray on speakers and BAM! Newspaper that needs a CD.
I believe the information overload shakes will start very soon. I am starting to agree that RAH said it best in Stranger In a Strangeland (paraphrased): Technology hit its peak with the Ford Model T and since then it has become decadent. Whatever happened to survival of the fittest in business?
The complaint you have is exactly what _most_ management is like. Mangagers are there to make sure things go well today. They are great at getting things done their way quickly (this is a why they are managers). Im not a programmer, but i realise that programmers have to make a complex operation (ever try explaining _each_ detail of *why* you were late to work?;) into a coherent picture _and_ get a non slack jawed response? I'd say the best solution is to become a consultant/contractual business owner. YOU can take the projects that suit you best AND tell companies YOUR schedule. Please dont whine and cry about how hard it is to run a business, cause its just as hard to go to work:) May your fingers be strong, and your code ever vigilant.
ANYTHING that is digital will never be uncopyable. The reason is because you always know the parameters of how the digitizing is done. There are only so many ways that 1's and 0's can be put together (or taken apart) that make sense.
isnt that what the linux community is all about? making small inexpensive packages that do the job just as well as an all in one system. i think there was an article recently about a class that did something similar with a satelite.
