I don't think your Founding Fathers took tourism into account
That is because they were terrorists! They broke the rules of war every chance they got. They terrorized the British and won the war.
The rules of war (for the time) had both side line up on a field and shoot at each other. Only grunts were fair game. The founding fathers hid in trees, shot officers first, etc.
Under current law they would not have qualified as enemy soldiers or the rights under the Genevra conventions. Most had no uniforms and used there own weapons.
Once it was over they the happily went back to gowning there marijuana.
here were no credible journal articles about this being a serious danger, this was exclusively a phenomenon of the mass media (and, as you say, some classrooms...)
With global warming, however, there is substantial scientific consensus, and many many credible journal articles So let me ask you this, Do you have a subscription to any of the scientific journals? Have you ever researched global warming or global cooling through a scientific journal?
If the answer is no, Then you really do not know and are only speaking based on information you have received from other mass media outlets.
They will issue you everything with out a finger print. There are lots of reasons that you would not have a finger print. Some people are born with out them, others loose them by profession. It is common for brick masons and cabinet makers to not have fingerprints. This is from normal wear and tare on the fingers when laying bricks and sanding respectively.
I had a friend that worked poring and working with concrete, he had no finger prints. This was from the use of acids to do some sort of finishing on the concrete.
There are lots of reasons to not have them. If the person gives you a hard time, ask for the manager.
Turn it on, place fingers on sand paper, hold as long as you can stand it. Repeat until prints are gone. No problem.
Finger prints are only 1/32 of an in deep. It is dead skin and serves no real purpose. I started sanding mine off several years ago when the state went to mandatory fingerprinting to get a drivers license. It is easy and the look on the persons face when you say "I don't have finger prints!" is just something else.:)
The other thing you can do is to cover the tips of your fingers with super glue. It works quite well and does not come off for some time.
They passed a law where I live that makes it illegal to own a filter that filters any liquid into a pyrex beaker. All to stop the "Meth epidemic!"
I personally called the law enforcement at the state capitol and reported all the representatives for violating the law.
No more Coffee pots!
They laughed at me but hay, it is a stupid law!
I look at it this way, asking congress to fix this problem is a bad idea. They only have two choices, Make it illegal or through money at it. Nether will fix the problem.
#1 Egyptian rimes dealt with the number 3 and had nothing to do with the English words you used. #2 The Egyptian language (Kemetic and Hieratic) was complex and well laid out. The proper Kemetic (What you see on the monuments) was written with the greatest care and was done for the ascetics. It is one of the few languages where the charters denote the direction the sentence is read. #3 As to things that the Egyptians contributed to modern society, Try the sandal, folding chairs, Wigs, Makeup, Perfume, etc. The list is long and may even include Beer!
As to the finishing stones being poured, well maybe but the main bricks were quarried.
I worked with a guy 4 years ago that was developing this. I have seen it work and it is cool. One of his backers asked me what I though it could be used for and I began listing all kinds of stuff at a n office. No need for anything to plug into the wall. It really was cool. Although with his, and the frequency that he was using, you just needed to set your cell phone within 2 feet of the transmitter. Come back a couple of hours later and the phone was charged.
In all honesty this really is old news. Nicola Tesla had this stuff working in the early 1900's
It would be interesting to see gas hit $500 a gallon.
It would be interesting when the cost of your food goes to $200 for a head of lettuce and $800 a lb for beef.
It is all connected, if gas goes to $500 a gallon then the cost of goods goes up to cover the cost of shipping those goods to market. Many have said that we could only eat locally grown goods. That is great but in a large city there is no land to grow the goods. Thus they must be shipped in. So when the cost of goods goes up, so do the wages that are paid for a job. If I am paying $500 a gallon and it takes 10gal of gas to get too and from work every day, then I need to make $5,000 a week to cover the gas and another $2,000 a week to cover the cost of living (House, Water, Electric, food, etc)
Higher gas prices will do little more than cause high unemployment and inflation.
Hmmm 30 miles one way to work makes it hard to ride a bike to work. I am sure you are thinking, why not move closer to where you work? I own a house and there are no houses within 15 miles of where I work.
take a bus
I would have to drive 25 miles to get to a bus stop. The buses do not run to every area around here.
It's not as crazy as most Americans seem to think.
It is as crazy as most Americans think. Most people in Europe do not realize just how BIG the US is. So, Lets give you a simple example, step out side, at night, and look up. Do you see that big white blue colored ball? Yes, that big one we call the moon. What you are looking at is about the size of the USA.
Now the area I live in (Dallas/Ft. Worth) is mindbogglingly large! If there was a clear road from one side to the other, and you did 60mph on that road from east to west, It would take you just over 2.5 hours to cover the area. North to south you are looking at a 3 hour drive.
The suburb I live in is the same size (sq ft for sq ft) as Chicago! This is not the whole DFW area, just a small suburb in the middle, and I can think of 8 suburbs between Dallas and Ft. Worth
So when you suggest riding a bus (Which I mentioned earlier) how about you come out here and design a busing system to cover the area! Trains? Well figure out how to cover the N/S and E/W and make it profitable and ill ride a train provided it costs less than the 18$ a week I am spending on gas
Lets see, I started out as "MIS Applications analyst" (I converted Lotus 123 spread sheets to Excel. "System Administrator" (I managed the systems at an ISP) I was promoted to "MIS Director" (I Managed the IT at the same ISP with no raise)
I changed jobs and was "System/Network administrator of Product Development" or SNAPD Then promoted to "Sr. System/Network administrator of Product Development" small raise
Then changed jobs to become "General Manager of Internet Services" Was promoted to "Vice President of Internet Services" Was promoted to "President" (Smallest title, no pay raise, later laid off so the CEO could "Make the payments on the RV"
Took a job as "System services and administration Level III" (Unix/AIX tech) and now my card reads "Consultant"
When I was President of the company, the CEO had cards printed for me that listed my title as "The guy that can fire you!" He seemed to think it was funny.
Titles are what they give you when they do not want to give you a raise. They are a way for them to say "We like the job you are doing, but we do not think it is worth any more money."
The up side of all this is that most of the companies have gone out of business. I have been known to change the titles on my resume to match the job I am going after.
Generating income means creating something new which can be sold, whether that is a tangible product or some service, which the CEO, VP and so forth are doing.
So IT does not produce a tangible service? Like Accounting, File sharing, E-mail, etc.
I have been both VP and President of a multi-million dollar corporation. I understand the needs of the company and the Cost of doing business. I also understand that delivery of a product or service to the customer takes more than just handing them a product. The cost of doing business if a key to key figure (Key to unlock the door in the morning and the same key to lock the door when you leave) and everything must be figured to determine the cost of the service of product.
I really am a little tired of hearing how IT does note generate any income! Do the trucks you deliver your goods with "generate an income?"
The 8 Accounting servers go down for 24 hours, 15 Accountants can not do there job.
20 years ago the company had 50 Accountants doing the job that 15 now do with the aid of computers. I would see this as reducing company overhead and every time you reduce company overhead you increase profits thus providing an "Income."
The 4 Authentication servers go down for 24 hours and 5,250 people can not do there jobs.
5,250 people down for 24 hours (1 Day) is a lot of money (Millions) IT is generating an income by enabling everyone to do there job!
Although IT does not directly generate an income for a company it does not mean that it is a loss. It does not mean that the company could live with out the services that IT provides.
It is like saying the CEO, President, VP, etc do not generate an Income for the company and are just a big hole you through money into.
As to the topic of security, my favorite line has been "We will not be implementing security on the accounting servers. We do not want to make an A+ on SOX, we want to make a D and just get by. An A+ would be too expensive."

I am afraid that both of my wives would come unglued if I tried to get a girlfriend.
I feel kind of sorry for you, I thought that the LoL at the bottom of the post was a dead giveaway that I was being funny!
180 or 220 may work as well, I have always used 80 grit and controlled the removal by the pressure I put on the belt.
Is there a Microsoft mouse under you right hand?
Is the monitor in front of your head have a Microsoft logo on it?
What about his name!
The real name of "the" Bill Gates is William Henry Gates III.
Nowadays he is known as Bill Gates (III), where "III" means the
order of third (3rd.)
By converting the letters of his current name to the ASCII-values
and adding his (III), you get the following: or
M S - D O S 6 . 2 1
77+83+45+68+79+83+32+54+46+50+49 = 666
W I N D O W S 9 5
87+73+78+68+79+87+83+57+53+1 = 666
How about the number of letters in
Microsoft Windows XP
It comes to 18, or 6+6+6
The same with NT
You are already in bead with the beast! It is time to repent and reject the beast. Come join the true believers and find how Linux can set you free.
LoL
Just use a belt sander with 80 grit paper on it.
:)

A person of Faith does not need proof, I person of religion does. Their in lies the issue.
Too True.
You can add Global Warming proponents to that as well.

Man, bring this stuff back down on the space shuttle and run it on ebay. I bet some one would pay for a collection of tools used on the ISS!
They may be able to recoup some of the cost... lol

I drive as little as possible
Ride a bike (I ride mine to work every day)

Sorry about the rant.
Over the years I have had some great titles!
Lets see,

Lets face it, it is just not possible to enforce this kind of law.
With Onion Routing Networks, Mixmaster Type II Anonymous Email, GPG/PGP Type I Anonymous remailers , and bidirectional encrypted anonymous e-mail addresses that can deliver to a news group
Add to this the use of unsecured 802.11 networks and there is just no way to stop a person that truly wants to be anonymous on the internet.
Unfortunately most do not know how to use them, so most of the internet is only sudo-anonymous.
I think I need more coffee, I should have read a little closer.
:)
Oh well, Sorry.

It is a marketing ploy and old news.
Including your 83% statistic.
Why not just have an honest transaction without the fricken drama?
Show me a woman with out drama, and Ill lay 5 to 1 odds it is a guy in a dress.
