Well, it's a lot less bad to have massive cutscenes on the actual game, but like you said in the Jedi Academy Demo....well, that's just unacceptable. Why make us download EVEN MORE raw bits just to see some silly cutscenes.
I downloaded the demo to play the damn damn, not watch it!
SCO got more than 900 calls the first week after announcing the licensing program, Stowell said. Of those, 300 were serious inquiries that could immediately be followed up on......and the other 600 were/. users DDoSing the phone network in Utah. Great job guys!
And imagine how much more the robber could get if all that music was bought on CDs?

And if anybody could do it well and end-to-end then it would be Apple. Anybody who's ever used Rendezvous in iTunes can attest to how easy and freaking cool it is to listen to other people's music in their libraries over the network.
But the tradeoff would be that doing that much streaming would either increase the size of the ipod (big no-no) or make the battery life seriously dip off (another no-no)
I wouldn't hold my breath, however cool it would be.
Actually, the 3G iPods have a line-in/mic line built in and it just neeeds to be enabled thrrough the firmware. I suppose that once Apple gets the accompanying hardware ready to launch all they have to do is release a new software update that "unlocks" the internal feature.
I still firmly believe that Apple would do well to release a cheapper version of the iPod ($100-200 range) for those that still want an iPod but can't drop $500 on one.
However, I still appreciate the looks that I get walking to class with my 30GB; I sure wouldn't want to become just "one of the crowd"
Yep, basically if you're just writing email then it'll be quite quiet, but when you start playing quake or serious photoshop/fcp4/etc work then expect a frigging jet plane under your desk to take off and all your lights to dim.
Perhaps it's off topic but...

Go into iTunes and do a "Get Info" on any purchased music. Right there in the file it has your Apple ID and information. It look like me that before you buy the music the iTMS server actually embeds your account details in each file.
If that's the case then he'd have to get a new file from Apple (which prolly ain't happening) to give to the buyer
All my email comes into either my personal or work account. Apple Mail.app merges them when I read them, plus allows for full text searching.
Every month I take the month before-last's inbox and archive it onto my iBook (Pull it off the IMAP server) then copy it onto my iPod for my offsite backup:)
My work email gets put into a folder for year > Month > Inbox or Sent or Responded
"Responded" is just copies of any helpdesk email that I responded to for accountability.
All of that is on my work network drive which gets backed up nightly.
I worked at a bookstore for over a year as well and I know exactly what youre talking about. However I never cared if people bought stuff or not since I was hourly and got paid either way.
And I didn't waste my time in going there to get the ISBN, it was right next to a class I had and I stopped in quick between classes.
You local college bookstore is a great place to get stuff like ISBN numbers so that you can do a detailed lookup at amazon or elsewhere. This summer I called the UTA bookstore looking for ISBN numbers for a class of mine. What follows is the conversation:
Me: "Hi there, I'm looking for the textbook for INSY 3300" Bkstr: "Ok, that'd be this book. It's $90.00 new and $89.00 used" Me: "Great! Could I get the ISBN number for that book?" Bkstr: "No. We don't quote ISBNs and other info like that over the phone" Me: "Why not?" Bkstr: "Because we don't want you to buy stuff at Amazon instead." (actual quote:) Me: "Why.....would.....umm....you expect me to do that??"
Later that day I went in person to the store and copied all the ISBNs down. I paid $50 on Amazon later that day for the same book new.

I think they probably will be brought out by IBM....and shot in the damn street once the "evidence" comes out

Goddamnit!
Here's the real link!
Check out this case mod that was at Quakecon. It doesn't run Linux but it still looks damn cool!
The guy that built it actually changed all of his cable ends to fit into the custom plugs on the front of the case. He did a REALLY great job!

Nope, Linksys routers can be changed all you want. My home network uses 10.10.10.x addressing and it works like a charm.

How do you manage files, email, contacts, meetings and all the relationships that might exist between them?
Easy! Do what I do and don't have any friends, contacts, meetings, or relationships with people!
