  1. I can't wait for the day the rest of America wakes up to the fact that the anti-GMO movement is the Hipster/millennial/elitist version of climate change deniers. 62% of everything you buy in a typical grocery store - pre-processed, canned, frozen, fresh - is GMO. Has been for many years now. The only "evidence" that exists showing any negative effects from GMO's can be found only in the realm of fringe or conspiracy sites that also "educate" the public about the evils of flouride and vaccinations.

So your assumed premise is that only straight males, lesbians and passive women who won't raise a stink over the continued sexualization of robots that are always "hot" young women will be reading this. Wrong. And by the way, it takes an incredibly small amount of effort to restrain yourself from using this tired premise. But you couldn't help yourself I'm sure.

Again, this is not the case. Simply look at other places where FB is providing this service and you'll see its access to most of the internet for free. If you want FB services you can certainly pay to get premium services but you can also ignore FB and still have very reasonable and helpful access to pretty much the rest of the net.

Its not access to FB. Educate yourself. The services being offered by FB is basic internet access. All the internet. You don't have to look at FB at all if you don't want. They've done this in several other countries so its not just a theory - we actually "know" exactly what they're providing and it IS basic internet service. All of the internet.

FB has never, not once provided a service for free then charged later. You're basing your scenario on zero evidence. Predatory pricing has to have a price before it can be predatory. There is no price and there won't be one. The telecoms are just pissed that they can't keep screwing people for substandard services.

  8. Corruption at every level on India Blocks Facebook's Free Basics Internet Service (thestack.com) · · Score: -1, Troll

This is not net neutrality. This is saying we forbid you to provide something for free that others are charging for or we'll fine you. Its pure BS and only an idiot or a competitor would object. Net neutrality is charging different people different prices for the exact same bandwidth as everyone else. Companies don't like it because they think they deserve to have more bandwidth than some average person watching Netflix. They are wrong. A lot of people here do not understand net neutrality at all. As to free basic internet - screw the providers and thank goodness for Google, FB and others trying to make basic internet free for all. Telecom companies have demonstrated nothing but greed and corporate bias for decades and their time is over.
