Ah, but you do not understand what the RDF is. It is not simply a deception or misinformation. It is, in fact, outside the realm of either. (Whether or not they apply is immaterial.)

It is about the wholesale adoption of a world view or perspective.

To get sucked into Steve's RDF means that you see the world in, once rainbow striped, rose-coloured (apple red), now aqua-coloured or ice-coloured or Ti-coloured glasses.

What is the name of Bobby's school?

Why do people look down on Peggy?

Why were the guys making fun of Hank and putting I(heart)NY stickers on his car?)

For some reason you think the show is pushing some political agenda???

Quick: What other Texan is hank's dog named for? What was the party affiliation?

Quick: What ex-Governer showed up on the show? What party??

Still think there are political motivations?

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PERSON, OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT THEY ARE TEXAN.

But you seem to be so blinded by your own agenda that you can't perceive anything but own narrow world view.

Truth is, if you are prone to setting up clusters, you are a cut above Joe Homeuser. I doubt anyone's grandmother would be doing this. G4 are used a lot in academic settings, and anyone who is doing that could probably "field strip" any machine, be it DIY or mac.

I found my way to a midnight+5min showing last night to see one of the first screenings I could.

Wow! I have been so afraid for months (years?) now about what it was going to come out like. Ever since I heard that viewers of a pre-screening (Before Cannes last year) had to sign a Non-(negative)-Disclosure, I was doubly concerned.

Set your goals low and you can be pleasantly surprised. ;)

I deliberately haven't read the books for a few years now, and I wanted to go into with as "fresh" of pair of eyes as I can. I avoided all the "Making of..."s. I didn't download the quicktime trailers. (well, maybe just one -- but only for a little bit.)

Sure there are places that didn't stick exactly to the book. That has to be expected.
Sure stuff got left out. (I thought they could have added 2 more hours. But then no one else would be sitting in the theater.)

But I am glad they waited this long to do the film. To do it right.

I was worried about Vigo cast as my favorite character. He did much better than I expected.
Some one complained about Liv. I'll agree, but didn't let it get in my way.
They kept the tongue of the Elves. (Subtitles for us non-speakers.) Beautiful.

The scenery is STUNNING. Allow me to repeat: STUNNING. STUNNING. STUNNING. STUNNING. STUNNING. STUNNING.
    The sets are fantastic.
The visuals in a lot of respects are what were in my mind's eye.
    The casting was otherwise great.

The audience (after lining up for hours -- they opened 3 screens for it as they continuted to sell out of advance tickets all day) and sitting for over an hour in the theaters, was ecstatic.
    They cheered in the battles.
The crinched in horror at the Balrog.
And after over 4 and a half hours of sitting (plus the lines just waiting to get in), were visibly and audibly disappointed to see the film end.

Take everyone you can to see it this weekend. In this age of inflated box office stats, I want to make sure this film sits above the drivel that seems to otherwise draw.

I know that is why I get most of my spam. (That and my Internic registrations.)

I was lucky enough to have set up edresses for most of my early jobs. (ie, I set up a site for XYZ company and use the address of meXYZ@mydomain.com as the site's webmaster.)
Now I just filter on those old addresses.
    Straight to the trash.

This of course doesn't help on the times I forgot to use a psuedo-eddress. Those I have to move to the trash myself.

Over the last few months, I haven't dumped the trash file, and seem to have accumulated about 1,800 messages in there. (All spam. Don't throw anything else away. I catalog all my old mail going back to about 93.)

I keep thinking that I am going to run analysis on the mail some day soon. You know: See how much of it comes from hotmail (not as much as I thought), how much from yahoo, how much from .ru, what percentage has forged headers, etc. Thought it would be an interesting profile of spammers. Haven't found the time yet.

Anyone else look at this kind of information?

Oh, and in addition to the domains I own, I have eddresses in about 13 other places, including some of the free services like hotmail, altavista and yahoo. None of them get that much spam.

The only other "problem" account I have is my old (*WAY* old. UserID under 2500 -- One of the first people to sign up with the service.) AOL account. [Hey, no flames here!] I guess that is to be expected with an account that old.
