Sorry, but I had to set up a pc for my half blind dad that just uses the PC for audio books.
Windows 8 is waaaayyy overpriced at free. If they'd pay me 2 grand a month , maybe I would try to use it.
I'm hoping the steam/ubuntu gaming Port gains traction. If I could play all my games on Linux and just safely surf on Linux - I would have absolutely no need for microsoft.
It's awesome to know that nothing will ever go wrong in five minutes.
Altho, it's amazing that all captains who had at least five minutes to respond to everything ever lost a ship.
It's going to be awesome to have the best new captains who can respond to everything with five minute breaks during their shift! Thank you for your insight! You are exactly what I expect from anon cowards! I bow to your creativity!
Are they planning to launch a series of satellites for this?
Anyone who has used a satellite uplink for the web can tell you that the bandwidth is oversold, and if you even try to stream video you get nailed by the FUP (fair use policy). It drops you to pre 56k modem speeds.
For a 360 panoramic with control and command monitored 24/7 you are looking at a lot of bandwidth streamed to space (or very long cables) to make it work.
It's kinda surprising that this would even be looked at as feasible.
less than a decade ago we elected folks on "the Plan", and then we had a few years later "Change", and then there was the second coming of "Change"....
We can't ship a fab up to the space station let alone the moon anytime soon. look at what it costs the nations launching to the space station just to provide food and parts. Hell, we we won't have the ability to have a working moon base until we rethink the global way of doing things and remove profit motives from nations launching materials.
If we're going to have any serious moon based or orbit based things happen, all the space launching nations need to get together and share the pain of the investment to get it done.
China doing a moon landing for China's sake, or Japan sending a probe to the moon for national honor, or Argentina launching a camera around the earth just to build national price mimics the cold war contest between Russia and the USA about the moon. (And now USA has no real orbital capacity, and pays craploads of money to Russia to launch their astronauts.)
Pool the money, Share the costs, and get it done for Terra. Until we get there - we won't get anywhere. The world together can do wonders. What we have now is wasteful to say the very least.
I hope that there's a dedicated force watching the video that sends the owners of google glasses tickets for speeding - or whatever other accidental infractions of the law they do on a day to day basis.

I had a great job in the chicago suburbs working for a guy that owns garrets popcorn in chicago and has a crapload of jimmy johns franchises in Seattle. I worked in a spinoff tech investment and I tried to build a server for him, his expert said that there was no way to be sure the components I ordered would be compatible, and that Dell would be able to build a better server and support it than anyone else could.
I convinced my manager that his bosses expert was an idiot and ordered the parts. They arrived on a cold winter day and I let them sit overnight to defrost, when I came in the next morning to build the server, I had to box the parts up to ship them back and pay a restocking fee because the bosses expert wanted the dell with the warranty. A few months later I lost my job.
My advice? Just smile and nod. People who are tech idiots and have drinking buddies will always triumph over brains.
and include a snippet which I presume you might of missed..
The most prominent members of this group of drugs, aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen, a
"Group of drugs" - plural - when it says NSAID on the label it can be from a group of different drugs - So when you buy that brand name it might be ibuprofen, it might be naproxen, it might be acetylsalicylic acid.
All YOU know for sure is that the product you purchased contains a NSAID, regardless of what the brand name says. The name Aspirin is used when selling a NSAID. That means it contains one of the group of drugs that are summed up as NSAID. I'll bet that it's the cheapest of the bunch. Better for profits that way..
All the "aspirin" I've seen for humans has the active ingredient of NSAID - not acetylsalicylic acid.
When I went to the walgreens pharmacy and asked for acetylsalicylic acid they looked it up in their book and that's only contained iiin "Powdered Aspirin" which they do not sell anymore. I went to 8 different places and not one type OTC medication had acetylsalicylic acid listed.
I only found it in an animal feed place, as a pain reducer for horses and pigs.

If someone boards an unmanned drone ship, wouldn't they be able to claim the ship as salvage and sell the contents?

And no big screen for sports events because the nitwit in charge doesn't like sports?
So not a real pub, but a pub where the guy in charge thinks it should be like will actually test pub goers?
And this is science?

News for Nerds?
In the 1800's horses died.
Computers? Internet? Technology? bad laws regarding tech?
Anyone? Some help here?
heh, I bet none of you nerds have a cobra 40 channel in working condition.
When the big bad NSA kills off your intraweb, just look for those big antennas to start planning your fightback.
Make sure you have some firepower :)
(and I even preserve my own food)
No, the bosses expert said Dell could provide a better server than anyone who actually builds systems can do.
They lost 4 terabytes of storage, 16 gigs of ram, and overpaid 2 grand because of that idiots advice.

Boss: I need this wall built.
Programmer : Ok Boss! /builds wall/
Boss : Hey, Nice wall, but I need to make 22 changes to it to make it better
Programmer : That's going to take a re-write Boss, I was just told to build the wall!
Boss : You don't have time to re-write, just patch it like I directed in the meeting and go build the other wall!
Programmer : But if I patch I won't have time to bui
Boss : Get your ass to work, and get it done!
Again,
The active ingredient is NSAID.
There are no Aspirin brand tablets that have any other ingredient listed.
So all you can be sure of is that the "Aspirin" you have purchased contains an ingrdient that is the group of NSAID.
And I'll count a second coup now! Thanx!
When Netflix changed to their horrible "pause and scroll" method, I was one of thousands of users that protested.
I quit using their online site to look for movies because of it.
Add me to the list of those exiting when /. Classic is removed from the site.
Nope, I've reread it. I've still claimed the coup.
Have a nice day!
I never said it wasn't included with NSAID, so again I will post the link I posted earlier.

By the way, I have not tried to be rude or insulting in any manner. So I am collecting my coup.
Thanx!
So, would you like to place a wager that the active ingredient in Bayer is actually acetylsalicylic acid and not a cheaper variant of a NSAID ?
Great! Awesome!
They Why is the active ingredient in most OTC remedies List NSAID and do not list "Aspirin"?
If it Contains acetylsalicylic acid (brand name Aspirin) then it should Say "Aspirin" or "acetylsalicylic acid" instead of NSAID , Right?
In fact why do NONE of them list "Aspirin" or "acetylsalicylic acid" ?
read the ingredients.

Now, wiki had this to say
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N...
Which means it may contain "Aspirin" , but did they use acetylsalicylic acid - why not list it?
Why do we need to introduce dark matter to get the math to work out?
So someone that has a theory can make money pursuing it?
