Does this mean that If I was to encode my CD's again with the new RC3 release that they would be better quality than RC2, or is the improvements just for decoding?

didnt they already try a spin-off featuring those 3 guys (the lone gunmen) and it got cancelled? I don't know, not being in the states, We don't tend to get a lot of pilots, just the popular ones.
Why cant you people just have a discussion? why do you always have to bring karma into in? can't you just dissagree with someone for teh sake of their argument, and not for how many points they get? who cares really? are mod points going to make you a better person? no.
yeah, i agree.
i'm in australia and everytime i get on the internet in the evening's, which is peak time here, they're always doing nightly database maintanence! very annoying
just use xfree 4.x, it has truetype font support built in, so you can use all your windows fonts

half-life should install, and run perfectly without a windows installation.
go to lhl.linuxgames.com for a howto and information.
all it needs is the latest CVS compiled, and all should work.
works for me, just as fast as windows
SDL is dependant on directx in the windows version of the library. and in linux, the only 3d support it has is opengl. it's really only an opengl wrapper as it were..
Well I don't see why it would be "slow and get bad reviews". All the games that *DO* work under wine that I've tried, run just as fast as under windows.
The main problem that needs to be overcome is the ease of use. It's a sonofabitch to get the games that work, working. but once they do, its generally just as good as windows.
Look at the last page
It has a picture of the box under the guys arm
Okay, list what you think the top 10 distributions are.

errr, that's the original Wolfenstein -- not Return to Castle Wolfenstein
they already are off and have been from the beginning... bloody annoying too

the x-files has really gone downhill now...
