  1. Re:Wasn't Valve made up of a bunch on Half-Life 2, ATI, NVIDIA, and a Sack of Cash · · Score: 1

It seem's to me that valve is a company of the people for the people. It also seems that nvidia has made it a pain in the ass for dx9 to be used on their card in a way that creates good performance. Valve is just going for a company that will help out their game, and their customer base, which happens to be huge.

Usually the people that complain about people having speed "hax", wallhack or aim bot are the same people that aren't good enough or will never be good enough to get into a clan or play competitivly. It's so obvious when someone uses one of these that you can usually get an admin and ban em, or with all the adminmod servers you can admin_vote_kick em out or you could (gasp) leave the server. If your playing for fun, then play and stop bitching. If you suck, play with harder people rather than in the same noob server every day. Just like anything, CS takes work to become good at, and the people that are cal-i, super skillz are usually the same people that spend 4-5 hours a day playing.

  5. What better way? on Microsoft To Exhibit at LinuxWorld Expo · · Score: 1

Really, what better way then to make the community look bad then to send in their enemy. When the "childish" start throwing tomatoes, we will only further distance linux from mainstreem and scare off the more "casual" computer users.

  6. Really though on Has the Development of Window Managers Slowed? · · Score: 1

Well what is happening is we are apon a kind of mental block, with window maker being stable and easy to manipulate, E being sleek and neat, kde and gnome being kind of a standerd and each having there own area of speciality. Afterstep being so configureable. We really have window managers for almost every type of hacker/computer user. Basically What more could you want?

Well geez.. these guys are there own worst enemies, with all the virii going around taking down IIS servers and people advicating to go to apache for your server. They've now hit apon the common users desktop. I wonder what the new desktop they will suggest ;). Go microsoft!
