As an orhtodox jew, i can safely say that no jew refers to G-d as "Yahwe" or any phonetic equivalent thereof. "Yahwe" comes from a transliteration of the word formed by the hebrew letters Yud-Hey-Vav-Hey, which together spell G-d's four letter name. This is a combination of the word for "past" (Hay-Yud-Hav), "present" (Hey-Vav-Hey"), and "future" (Yud-Hey-Yud-Hey), which arises from G-d's description of himself to moses at the burning bush. No Jew pronounces this phoneticly, but instead, pronounces it the same as another word for G-d, which means "my master."

I completely agree. I know numerous people who gave up on linux because they didn't want to waste their time matching dependencies and such. While a GUI-only installer may cause problems for terminal users, a terminal based installer could be included (remember old DOS game installers?).

This does have one major problem, though: different distros need different things. In order to make a generic GUI-based installer feasable, a lot of work needs to be done to get the various distros on similar directory structures. There really is no good excuse for the fragmented nature of linux distrobutions.

A more minor issue facing a graphical installer is size. This can be addressed in several ways, the simplest of which is to include all of the installer software in the base distro and have it execute installation scripts (ala .msi files). However, I'd like to think that for most people's desktops systems, a 500k increase (yes, i know it's excessive) in installation size isn't really that big a deal. How many people don't either have their computer on a cable modem or better, have their computer networked to another pc with such a connection, or have another computer with a good connection and a cd burner?

Integers can be sorted in O(N) time (actually, so can floats, but unless you're sorting trillions of items, go with the O(n*log(n)) algorithms.

The algorithm for integers is simple (no value is passed for x on execution):
    1. If the list contains 0 or 1 element, return.
    2. Set a counter to 0, unless a value is given for x, set x=2^(n-1), where your ints have n bits.
    3. Iterate through the list:
    3a. If !(a[i] & x), then
    3aa. swap a[i] and a[j]
    3ab. increment j.
    4. Apply algorithm to the sub-array a[0..j-1] and a[j..n].

This impliments nicely in C where pointers take care of the dirty work involved in passing parts of arrays (pass a pointer to the middle of the array).

Mathematicians don't make names for themselves by disproving things. They earn fame for proving new things (or outstanding conjectures). If Theorem A has a valid proof, than there cannot be a counterexample to it, or the system is flawed. Since it is most likely that most of mathematics is not done in a flawed system, there is no way to disprove something once once it has been proven mathematically.

R^3 (the minimal space in which the n=3 case exists) is rather odd. In R^0, R^1, and R^2, most things are pretty simple. In R^4+, there's enough room to avoid problems (in R^4 or higher, for example, you can neglect any countable set of 3 dimensional spaces while integrating, etc.). R^3 is probably the hardest space of finite integral dimension in which to work, which is unfortunate, because that's where almost all of engineering takes place.

One can easily define a cross product in R^4. It would however operate on three vectors, not 2. In fact, it is quite simple to define a function CrossP(v1,v2,...,vn) that returns a vector normal to v1,...,vn in R^(n+1) (what length you give the vector is a slightly different matter).
