  1. US Constitution on Intel Chief: Don't Call Us Benedict Arnold CEOs · · Score: 2, Troll

Since when does the US Constitution state that all people who go through public education are guaranteed to get a good, high paying job, straight out of school? I must have missed that part....

  2. Bad patches on MS Security Chief: Windows Never Exploited Until Patch Available · · Score: 2, Insightful

The way I read this was "No exploits happen until we release a patch" meaning that the patch that was released to fix the exploit sucked, or even better opened up new holes to be exploited...... the article almost makes sense that way.

Umm, I'd have to say look at your friggin' teeth moron. Human's are omnivores, our teeth are designed as omnivores deal with it. If we where meant to be vegetarians, how come we cannot digest cellulose? And how come we can subsist on meat alone? Inuit traditionally ate almost all meat diets, and it seems they did rather well, unless your gonna say that inuit are not human....

  5. Re:I would have to agree, but... on Two Reviews of Debian 3.0 · · Score: 1

I would have to say that for me, debian's installer is the MOST convienant installer I have used. I'd much rather configure the base system during the install, than having to go clickety clickety through GUI's later to get what I wanted in the beginning. Besides, with debian, I can do this:

Do a minimal install, with only a few applications.
As I am working, if I need a program to do something new, I use apt-get to install it. So I basically end up with a system low on cruft. Which is something I like very much. You can do this with other distro's, but I have yet to have one that makes package management such a natuaral action as debian does.

So I guess, at least for me, and many others I have talked to, debian IS the easist distro out there. I have tried the others, but get frustrated because they are not debian and go back :)

  6. Re:Biology and Technology on A.I. and the Future · · Score: 1

Why not have our consciousness reside in an articial enviroment with the ability to use either biological or articial contructs to interact with the material world. All the benifets of having a body, none of the problems.

  7. Biology and Technology on A.I. and the Future · · Score: 1

Personally, I believe that merging the AI and artificial organs into the human body is a good thing. Don't people want to live longer, be stronger, faster, more mentally accute, and connected to the internet? (implanted IRC!!) Hopefully we can come to a point (as in 2001: A space oddyessy) where we don't need physical bodies at all.
