    I have a Hotmail account. Hotmail is in Washington state. I get TONS of spam in that account (like 100+ every 24 hours or so). Just a matter of time till someone tries this out in court.
    What would really be nice is if this was a federal law.

    Could it be that a university professor presents a more sypathetic character than the publisher of a hacker magizine? Unfortunately though it shouldn't matter it does. The first amendment was written for both. Hopefully this will all lead th the DCMA getting struck down and large corporations not getting to tell us what we can or can't publish or say.

    Scares you a little? Scares the HELL out of me. Just imagine the type of abuse that this technology could lead to. When you concider the way that the goverment/industry/busnesses intrude on your privacy already..... just one omore thing for them to abuse.

    Remind me not to sign up for any service that uses this.

    Yes, Daniel should have been running Apache on Linux Or maybe Daniel should have installed the hot fix released over a year ago. Course I really don't see what his experence has to do with a back door in IIS as you are refering to a completely separate (and automated) exploit.
