I LOVE Deepfreeze! I administer about 160 public machines at a university library. And the garbage that manages to make it through WinSelect and FoolProof is amazing! Since installing DeepFreeze on all the computers my trouble tickets have dropped by 75%. Who wants to spend their day changing the homepages back on 50 machines because they are getting "magically" set to porn portals?
Doesn't matter if you look at ACT or SAT scores, midwesters still score better.
I compared Nebraska to the National, and to Massachusetts. And.. yep, Nebraska wins.
So I think it IS an interesting discussion as to WHY midwesterners score higher. I'm guessing fewer poverty ridden inner city schools, but that's just a guess.

Many of the posters are saying "YAY! more sex! people should have more sex. Sex is being accepted." And you know what? I agree with that statement. I'm a female and guess what? I like sex too. BUT....
Normal, healthy sex between consenting loving adults is NOT what these games are displaying and its not what the article is about. The problem is not with sex, its with objectifying women only as sex objects and with partnering that meaningless sex WITH violence.
I'm all for sex. You want sex? Go develop a relationship with a real live girl. Do the horizontal boogy all you want. I'll cheer you. I do it too. But please, I'm tired of my avatars running around looking like she stepped off the stripper stage.
When I was 13, i was SO angry. And if I got punished, by my parents especially, the first thing my adolescent mind (NOTE: NOT ADULT) wanted to do was get revenge. I plotted ooh so many things to "get back" at my loving parents. Granted, I didn't DO any of them. But among those "get back at them" plans, i did consider suicide. Oh this will teach them!
Now, I never really did any of these things, I never really got into much trouble. BUT, I posted because no one else had mentioned anger and revenge as a possible motive for suicide. Granted, he wasn't terribly stable, but I could see him doing it to "get back" at the school.
