Thanks very much for the UNIX utility info! That provides at least some UNIX-type functionality for the Jornada 720, which is a great little machine by the way.
I love the FreeBSD ports system. To me, it alone is reason enough to run FreeBSD (though I run Linux). I'm glad to see it coming over to Linux systems!
If you haven't tried the ports system, I highly recommend you do so. They're a VERY convenient way to install new software.
Well, looks like Asus buckled under the pressure. It IS too late; I'm sure the drivers are available all over the internet now.
I think, if someone wants to cheat at a video game, that's their choice. It's not that big of a deal. If they can't play the game the right way, let 'em cheat. Who cares?
As far as online play, if you don't want to play with cheaters, then don't! Play with people you know and trust.
It's inevitable that people are going to cheat, whether it's games or otherwise. Asus taking down the drivers isn't going to change that.
I sure hope they improve the speed. On my computer (PII 400) it takes the DAMN CALCULATOR 5 seconds to start-up. There's not really any excuse for that.
However, I would like to thank the KDE Team for an otherwise wonderful desktop environment. If they can fix the speed problems, KDE will be one step closer to perfection.
Don't use OpenBSD, the security sucks!!! It's the most insecure piece of crap I've ever seen. If you want real security, go with Windows 95, 98, or Me. That's REAL security! I mean, come on, who needs password protection? So far, it's been 2 WHOLE HOURS since I've been 0wNeD!! Beat THAT OpenBSD!!!
Oh boy, I just got an email... it says open this attachment; it's a picture of Anna Kornikova!!! Gotta go!!!
Gnome? KDE? The desktop is dead. The future of computing has nothing to do with computers as we know them, because the computers we hve now are 10x more powerful than they need to be for the tasks they are used for - with one exception: Entertainment.
I don't quite get that statement. You think computers now are 10x more powerful than they need to be? What about things like SETI@Home? What about medical research and development? How about video and graphics processing? And of course, what about kernel compiles?;)
The point is: while your computer may be powerful enough for wordprocessing, email, etc, it's not "10x more powerful than it needs to be" for everything
I understand that the PS2 and Xbox use advanced hardware and all, but why are they $299? In my opinion, game consoles should max out at $200. When you start asking several hundred dollars for a game-playing machine, you've gone too far.
Of course, I understand how poor Microsoft is. I'm sure they need the extra money.
You forgot to close your italics tag. A should do nicely.
This marks the first time Jon Katz not only liked a movie, but appeared to really enjoy it!
Of course, I see this for what it is. The simple explaination is: this is not Jon Katz! It is an imposter!
Right now, my server (Apache on Linux, of course) is logging about 80 Code Red/Code Red II requests per hour.
\.? This isn't Backslashdot, my friend.
Didn't we already cover this:2 7

I'm just trying to save bandwith, as kernel.org will no doubt get an "overabundance" of hits. Why should this be moderated down?
I'll be sure to try it out!

So are there any other benefits (besides RPM integration) of using Red Hat's version of PostgreSQL over the standard?
One word: pr0n.

Sorry if that was offtopic.
