    As this is a 19.4Mbps raw format file. I persume that bits.

    So.

    19.4 x 1024 = 19865.6 Kbps
    19865.6 x 1024 = 20342374.4 Bits Per Second

    Now lets divide by 8
    20342374.4 / 8 = 2542796.8 Bytes Per Second
    2542796.8 / (1024 x 1024) = 2.425 Mega Bytes Per Second

    Now, I would like to record a move of 2 hours

    2.425 x 60 x 60 x 2 = 17460 MB
    or 17460 / 1024 = 17.05 Gb

    Thats alot of space , evan for a 80mb hard disk.

    Just a question someone might be able to answer, how well will this compress ?

    If its a good level of compression, will it allow a new way for the napster type people to break into a new medium.

    On November 17th, a draft version of a review of Carnivore, the FBI tool for monitoring Internet traffic, was made available to the public. This review was performed by members of the ITT Research Institute in Lanham, Maryland and is 127 pages long. In the Executive Summary, the review makes several recommendations for ways in which Carnivore must be improved, in order to protect individual privacy and assuage concerns about the potential for unauthorized use.....

    In other words, they found a flawed product, which can currently be easily manipulated to gather information beyond that authorized in a court order. They believe the flaws are fixable and have made recommendations as to what needs to be done, including eventually releasing the source, but not until some glaring security problems have been fixed first.............

    Why is Windows the only operating system that comes without any type of multiple boot loaded. All the other seem to have one. Install 95/98/ME and it just sets its self as the only os , and thats the end of that.

    Basically its a set of recommended software available for installation on a company's / school's pc's.

    Eg. I can install Windows 95 and Visual C++ but not winamp.

    They will run... but you'll get errors all over the place. In my college the C: was read only. You could only write to d:. It was annoying, but i am sure cut down loads on the IT bill, and stoped too may mp3 servers running.

    No one is going to pay for a seach engine. I spend 10 hours a day online (for my job ..really i sware...) and i would never evan think of paying for a seach engine.

    Google may be a little better then some other ,but not that much. Not that much.

    This is this first time i have heard of a site having so much business it needs to block some people view it.

    Its one thing to block non-frames / non-javascript browsers , but this is just madness.

    This is at the end of the article. Unless i am mistaken (and i don't think i am ) its already common practice for search engines to rank paying sites above normal searches. Can you do a seach on yahoo now without getting adds on the righthand side.
