    As the XBOX is basically a pc , and the games are all just direct X ... is anyone working on a way to play these games on your pc , or is micorosoft going to release a version of direct x ..etc... to allow this...

    this would be a good thing for m$ to do , becuase it would grealy increase the number of games for the xbox , and a developer would be more lightly to develope if they can target the pc/x-box market with the same piece of software....

    of course this would also help the pirates...but then again , what doesn't..

    In my option in developing such a system , it may be better to start from scratch instead of using legacy windows code. (except for some of decoding and stuff).

    Using left over windows code , will cause bugs, crashes and slowness.

    I am sure Windows 2006 will require at least 20GHZ and 256GB of ram.

    The requiments for software allways seem to expand to find the systems. If the same optimizion was down on windows software that was done on Z80 , then we would need systems this fast.

    Any idea what uses they have ?

    Is it database stuff... web servers.. or just office use....

    I am sure there is cheap solutions than windows for such an organization , no matter what whey need it for .. espically with microsofts new licencing system...

    This is true... if suse , radhat and a few more can come together and create a distro as easy to install as Windows, and using Sax to configure X , then companys might start to use it more...

    There will be massive saving for them .. and less copies of windows around (always a good thing)

    LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND REMEDIES.     Whats to stop people using a cable between cd player and computer to make the mp3 ?

    I don't think this is going to prove much of an problem for people , except those who pay for the music and want to listen on their computer....

    I won't hurn the people who use mp3's at all... they be as happy as ever...
