I would add one more thing: The FBI. They've stopped some actual terrorist plots from getting past the planning stages. But if a terrorist manages to elude the FBI, the TSA isn't going to be more than a minor inconvenience.

Oh, you mean terrorist plots where the FBI goes after mentality retarded folks who have no means to do something and give them fake bombs and claim it as a victory? Wow. Great job. My tax dollars at work.

'Horny nerds' interest in women that enter their domain is as innate as the human sex drive that has allowed our species to survive as long as it has. You can not legislate that out of the species nor do I believe women would want to see it go. God forbid remove their advantage of being able to manipulate men to do their bidding and get what they want.

Do you realize how much money would need to be spent to market Linux to women? Does the generic Linux have a marketing budget that can constantly dazzle women with shiny new features and widgets to keep them interested? No. So stop dreaming. Only large corporations can do that and women are sheep to the marketing machine, so unless Linux has the bucks, you're not going to get them to use it.

Please. "...men in nursing tend to make more money, even though it's a female dominated field." Hurm, why do you think that is? Could it be because TYPICALLY men are willing to make sacrifices and work longer hours without throwing a hissy? That men are much more willing to make sacrifices in their personal lives for their professional success? Go read a book, stop relying on hearsay. Men make more money than women because women typically want jobs that give them the flexibility to work less hours and not interfere with their personal lives. Men on the other hand sacrifice their personal priorities and needs to continue to work because they realize they need to focus on their careers. Look at the jobs with the highest degree of on the job fatalities and you tell me how many of them have women doing those jobs? Of those that work 3rd shift, what percentage do you think are women? So stop your "poor women" crap, women aren't discriminated against and frankly affirmative action needs to go away and people need to stop worrying about people's sex and instead focus purely on their ability to do the job, and yes that means female firefighters are GONE.

Yeah, because we really need a lot of people, male or female, in technology fields that are concerned with "being cool" or not. Give me a break, they will be the first to leave when they realize it isn't always easy and actually requires some dedication to your field. The technology fields are better off by weeding out people (regardless of gender) that don't have what is necessary to cut it.

Ohhh, those poor females.. they must be protected at all costs. *sigh* When will they stop being put on a pedestal and be able to function as one of the unwashed masses of males who forged this society to where it is today... What difference does it make? All a woman needs to do is accuse a man of rape and his name is ran through the mud and hers is protected by rape shield laws. The ability to not remember the event would play right into the whole inability of the defense to ask about the woman's sexual history too... Rape is bad, but women like to play the victim. As long as statistics show that a good portion of women lie about rape to get revenge on someone they have slept with, this pill fits right into the delusional fantasty land that our "modern society" has crafted...

Why are people so excited about the Xbox 360? Or PS3? It seems like this is some sort of vicious cycle and we are reverting back to the Atari 2600 days. We are more than happy to throw away the freedom and flexbility of playing games on our own personal systems for the chance to experience these developers games in their locked in solution where they control and dictate every facet of the game? Why are we so willing to buy into the marketing hype around a system that has had very little road testing? Only now once the NDAs have been lifted do we really see that this product has been sent out to the masses, not because it was ready, but because MS didn't want to miss the chance to beat its competitors to market and potentially miss a Christmas release date. *sigh*

I really wish we didn't buy into the hype so easily... We are such lemmings... Big business plays the tune and we happily follow behind consuming whatever crap they dish out.

How about any and all of the dramas on television in prime time? My God dude look at the television. TV panders to who is watching and has the primary goal of making sure they continue to watch.. So therefore, they are targeting women, so as result, men are stupid.. women are beautiful and intelligent.. but then again they are dupped into continuing to watch that trash. This isn't to depict them as victims.. it is up to them individually to make the choice to turn the TV off.. but since women seem to be herd animals moreso than men, they don't want to be seen as different. Women seem to enforce the "norms" of society more than men.. hence their role as nuturers and instilling primary values in kids.
