    Tivo wont die because of the cable companies' DVR, Tivo is a much better product. But I could easily see Tivo dieing out because of the mandatory subscription. If anything that is what is going to kill them. I love my Tivo but there's no justifying the high monthly subscription.

    People who commit burglary while the owners are away are non-violent offenders. - Yes and they take physical property from someone, theft.

    Serious fraudsters are non-violent offenders. - I assume you mean financial fraud. Again physical property (money) is taken from someone.

    Drug dealers are non-violent offenders. - I don't know where you buy your drugs but from what I understand most drug dealers aren't the hippy types giving it away for free.

    Jail should be for violent offenders to protect others from their actions. Not spammers, downloaders, or pot smokers. I don't need protection from these poeple at all.

    The tone of this article is very misleading.

    I do a lot of consulting work and it's very hard to get a new PC for someone that doesn't come with Vista. They don't want Vista but they have no choice. Then we get to deal with figuring out what software they need works and what needs patches and what just plain doesn't work and never will.

    I'm not even a hardcore player and I'm not happy at all about this.

    I have a level 67 priest and there is a huge misconception that unless your completely holy spec'ed you can't heal well at all. Thats complete BS and always has been. Before all you'd have to do is lie about your spec not use shadow form, now you can't do that.

    It might be a little harder for some priests to get into certain guilds or PuG's now. I'd love to see an opt-out feature or something at least.

    After a minute or two of googling I think the Wyse S10 are a better choice. They connect to RDP servers and only cost about $280.

    I just got done reading the Sun Ray 2 Virtual Display Client FAQ and it didn't even mention what protocols it uses. Can you use this to connect to a regular old windows terminal (RDP) server? Doesn't look like it to me.

    A lot would be fixed if copyright/patent/IP laws couldn't be prosecuted outside of the civil courts if the defendant wasn't profiting.

    I'm just saying kids downloading MP3s/movies/games shouldn't waste the federal courts time or money. Not to mention having a criminal record for something like that is insane. Keep copyright/IP problems in the civil courts if there's no profiting.

    And I can say this is very typical. Most of the teachers I knew had a very very hard time logging in and opening a program. IE was called the "interweb" and they'd usually cry and stop teaching out of their text books when their teacher computers went down. It's absolutly amazing how sad it was. I'm so very very glad not to work there anymore.
