I always thought that the official name was Sol and Sun was just english for Sol, and the same for Luna/Moon. Are there any other languages that use the names "Sun" and "Moon"?
Is it not, that most scientists, being human, are not very comfortable with the idea of being ultimately responsible and accountable to a Creator God? It is this uncomfortable thought, that causes most scientists, in fact most people especially here on/. to adhere to the randomness worldview.
I can only speak for myself but I am not uncomfortable with the idea at all. I do not believe in the existence of a God so the idea is a non-issue to me. How (un)comfortable is a Christian with the idea of being ultimately responsible and accountable to Allah, Anubis or any other god that has ever been worshipped?
The US have not just promised to invade The Hague, they have turned it into a law: http://www.hrw.org/press/2002/08/aspa080302.htm. I wonder what NATO would do if the US ever invaded the Netherlands.
When you read the post you originally replied to and your post I replied to, it seemed to me that you were saying that there are two options: a high prison population with low crime and corruption rates, or a low prison population with high crime and corruption rates. I tried to point out that there is at least one more option: low prison population with low crime and corruption rates. This is the case in Iceland. I think it's other Scandinavian countries.
But if you just meant to say that, in this area, there are worse countries than the US so the US is not that bad, be my guest. It is just that I rather look at other countries to see what can be improved in my country than being satisfied with not living in the worst country.
Wouldn't you rather have an Icelandic prison population level in the US? The crime rate in Iceland is fairly low and they have 40 prisoners per 100,000 inhabitants, opposed to 751 prisoners per 100,000 inhabitants in the US?
We can observe bacteria evolving to become resistant to anibiotics, we can also observe other lifeforms evolve. What makes man so radically different that that it is excluded from evolution?
Who is to decide if a drawing depicts a child or an adult that looks and behaves like a child? Who still remembers the Roger Rabbit film, is Baby Herman a child or an adult?

I'm not familiar with the Imperial system. Can somebody tell me how many Kazakhstans this volcano measures?

Evolution must be better because God thinks so, how else can this museum be on the brink of extinction?
But seriously, my professor probably has a better explanation than your pastor.
This is the strongest support for the Big Bang theory that's ever been found! A big bang must leave a big hole.
Aha, so in the same fashion Windows Vista isn't American but from India.
That won't happen because Microsoft's shareholders will strongly disagree.
No need to get upset, the proposal was voted down.
It seems to me that DRM is about piracy, about pirating users' rights to sell them back to the users.
I'd say RMD is piracy, DRM is theft.

It would if you got your dates right. The French Revolution happened in 1798. Hugo was born in 1802 and Verne wasn't born until 1828.
