  1. Good animation, bad stills on The New Zelda · · Score: 2, Informative

I thought the animation was incredible. Link's movements were decent, but the enemies featured in the shot were hilarious. On the other hand, the shots of Zelda standing still looked like fan-art from a very confused 12 year old. Only time will tell if this method works. But if you're looking for a more conventional game, check out the Mario Sunrise converage. Now THAT looks like a complex 3D environment.

  2. Same thing in sports... on Inability to Type Not a Disability · · Score: 1
I think Shin Splits can be compared to RSI rather easily. The athlete has a problem with his legs. If it's mild, they wrap them and he keeps on playing. It it's major, he takes time off and plays again when his legs have healed. RSI works the same way. If your wrists hurt, do something about it. If they hurt so bad that you can't do anything (which has happened to me), stop typing, or cut it down to a minimum, and wait for things to get better. They usually do.

  3. Great future comparison... on The Tech behind Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within · · Score: 1
No, I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm going on Friday, and even if the story is trash, I just plan on being blown away by the graphical presentation. What I can't wait for, however, is when the next Pixar deal, Monsters INC., gets released. The comparison value is incredible. I want to get as good a look as I can at the best of a photorealistic rendered movie compared to one with a more cartoonish art style.

Just think about it. The article talks about a Square developed plug-in for Maya to handle the animation of hair. Pixar has worked something out to make that big blue furry guy's fur wiggle when he moves. So which one works better?

As soon as they're both released on DVD, I'm gonna have a hey-day.
