    ...you've basically done it all.

    For example, I've done 3D graphics, Virtual Reality, 3D modeling, Internet Banking, Hospital/Medical middleware, parallelization scalable computing, computer vision, physical secuity, research (photogammetry), consulting, 3D game engines, HIPAA compliant client/server systems, mobile, AKF cube scalability big data, et cetera...

    At a point like this it become more interesting to be invovled in the team building/manager/mentoring side of things while still getting to take on the really hairy jobs. It's why I love what I do.

    In my honest opinion, quality software engineers, who never ever end up leading teams for the majority of their time, tend to be such control freaks that they can't let go. Now, that's not always the case, but in my experience it has been the general case. I, myself, am a control freak about the code; however, I have learned (like many an NHL or NBA coach) that there is great satisfaction in leading a new generation to solve problems in ways that appeal to you - all while maintaining the "oh, sh**, the old man is going to implement this feature, it must be hairy..." mystique. LOL.

    It's the main reason I've been writing software for almost 25 years and I still LOVE doing it.

    That's a $400,000 plane, that only seats 4 people.

    If you want one that is $60k, it will be more than 40 years old or have serious issues.

    More importantly, the OP is about keeping the private aviation industry afloat. Selling used Cessnas isn't going to do that.

    ...load that allows you to travel several hundred miles for less than $200,000 and watch sales 'take off.' Now, it is arguable that this would be a good thing given that most people can barely drive a car... ;)

    Private aircraft that you'd want your family to travel in are HIDEOUSLY expensive.

    You are entirely missing the point. I don't have to rely on hearsay with science. I can simply test the resul myself if I wanted to. Reproducible results.

      I don't have to take the word of the latest translation of the latest compilation of books translated from Aramaic to market Greek to Latin to English supposedly by a guy who repeatedly denied Jesus but becomes an authority on the creation of the universe...

    ...counter ballistic missiles over the past two decades and it wasn't designed for this either (and, by the way, they're REALLY hypersonic...)

    They will continue to be upgraded for ABM capabilities as well.

    Is there some reason why hyper sonic low level missiles couldn't be adapted to either? BTW, the Navy is spending a lot of time and money on lasers for this very reason.

    I think the framing effect is expressed at an individual level, just like voting is, but the central issue is that people are easily swayed by what appears to them to be a pervasive mindset - whether framed as a loss or gain. Now, I certainly agree that the framing effect guides the presentation of almost everything today.

    Personally, I blame the framing effect for Bush's second election, lol.

    It does seem pretty silly that you can't be married to multiple people (although that's not my cup of tea, one nightmare at a time is quite enough for me...) doesn't it?

    I mean, if each member is aware of previously existing contracts, who cares how many you have?

    You're presuming that people usually vote and/or act as individuals. I would argue that they do not. There's clearly a herd mentality, especially when it comes to voting. Why else would so many people develop an 'us versus them' attitude instead of 'me versus them.'

    That's the kind of thing that people didn't like as far as I can tell.

    It comes down to what kind of person you are: does the end justify the means?

    This sort of conflict is common in society; i.e., should you screw other people over when it isn't illegal even if it is immoral? Anyone seen "Suckers"?

    Because she professes the same belief that neocons do, that the ends justify the means. Because anything ever asked of her instantly devolves into what the GOP did wrong. Because whenever you hear her speak about something that has happened she inevitably and without exception turns it into an us versus them between Democrats and Republicans.

    Basically because she acts like virtually every GOP member elected since 1994.

    I remember when I voted for Bush Sr. - Damn it was a long time ago when you could vote Republican. The only reason I could understand someone voting Replublican now would be for anti-abortion issues. The rest of their caucus seems flat out ridiculous or flat out bullsh*t.

    The worst part is, the f***ing Dems have gotten just as bad - Karl Rove used to be the most loathsome political creature on the planet, well congratulations Ms. Pelosi, you've knocked him off his perch.

    Please Colin Powell, run for President somehow...
