What amazes me about the list is that 80% of the required reading that I did at my school (just a normal public school) is on the list. The idea of someone graduating high school without having read several of them truly troubles me.
And how is this different from using home heating oil in your car to avoid taxes? The tax isn't about selling gas, it's about charging people for the services provided by the government.
Perhaps you'd like to explain why I don't all that power? I seem to be using it all, and when I'm not, the machine is sleeping with the montior off and drives spun down.
How exactly does one avoid an inevitable problem by agonizing over it? How would delaying a piece of technology help to make sure it isn't abused?
