Exchange, MS-SQL, private software made for Windows-only, office communicator proprietary features, active directory infrastructure with it's proprietary features (Including profile management, etc), the entire office suite (ENTIRE), the list can go on.
Do I REALLY have to point out the word "Open"? You can't steal it unless the data's been copyrighted. Otherwise, Red Hat & SuSE would be in the same boat.
I definitely agree. Then again, they've had lots of money, time, and corporate backing by other companies to get the mapping in place. I love google maps, but i do support openstreetmap.
As funny as what you typed is, it's sad that it's true. Slashdot's turned from a nerd haven into wanna-be gamers who think they're nerds but only have emotional disorders.
Is right in line with what I said about communism versus capitalism when I was in high school. Communism is powered by saints, capitalism is powered by sin. Which is more prevalent by default?
This is very true. While a wheel is relatively easy to concoct, a reliable, durable axle... one that can actually handle the load at the same time as the friction applied... is not as simple to make.
That was used back in the Roman empire, but was invented many many years before them. Of course, other countries took quite some time to implement it. Cities for example... think chamber pots being emptied into gutters. Holes were dug in the ground in many areas for public use, but of course it had to go somewhere... usually into water. It was easy in the country to create an outhouse, not so easy when that many people are stacked in the same spot.
Don't hide it, you just can't afford it. Don't turn it into a fiscal morality issue, to save face.
Well played my friend, well played.
For those that are slow, it's what is said by all google lovers when someone says they're buying an apple product. It's quite quaint.

Not sure we get the joke... other than a computer company entering the car business.
I'm confused now, how is Google evil for Mac developers?
Easy there troll, this isn't Microsoft.
Well.. maybe. Or Maybe not. But Definitely not sort of.

This is in another 28 years... There might be a mall or two that'll lose business.
Except to most of us, a telephone sanitizer is not an person... It's a sanitizing lotion/spray used with a towel of some kind. True story.

That's a youtube video. We can't read that.
There's also no reason a constitutional democracy would be better than a constitutional republic, by that line of thinking.
Yes, you are right. That would be logistically impossible.
Might we query as to what logic sequence brought about your decision?
Shut up, Canadian.
Yes, that saddens panda :(
