Bluetooth sucks balls. It's highly prone to electromagnetical interference (of which there is plenty in a smartphone and all the places you take it to), it's laggy as fuck and I don't want to wear a radio transmitter next to my head.
Liechtenstein is under EU jurisdiction, not ideal. Piratebay should declare independence start their own country and get their own top level domain, like piratebay.arrr
The left replaces religion with other dogmas and collectivism like radical feminism, cis white male original sin, oppression Olympics and class struggle as in communism. Potato, potato. Same tactics.
Apple is offering the Evil Genius(TM) service that'll analyze your iTunes DB and find exactly the songs you can't stand. They bundle it with their new iBoard waterboarding device available in 7 exciting colours.
Mozilla is fighting a lot of important fights for the open web, now if they could pay as much attention to their main product Firefox, I'd be the first to use it again.
I just switched back to Safari, it runs circles around even Chrome and hogs the CPU much less. I'd love to love Firefox on OS X but it just zero integrates with anything, the UI is alien and sluggish as fuck, page rendering, too, is slow. I don't care if JS execution is zippy if it takes ages to display whatever it has oh so quickly executed.
This just in: AdBlock, AdBlock Plus, Ghostery and other extensions are available on Safari! Gasp! Whoda thunk?
(I'm still using Firefox, out of principle – support the open web)
But that's a freedom most of the population couldn't care less about. Let's say I was making a fuss, because I couldn't get the InDesign data for all the books I own, and those books were evil, because they were taking away the freedom to design them in a more legible and typographically sound way. You couldn't care less, but honestly I sometimes don't even consider reading something that is designed just too badly, since I am a typography/design geek. But you might not give a flying f*ck about these things.
Sometimes things you consider extremely important are just totally irrelevant to others.
Really? Last time I checked the first country to cry and declare war in WWI was Austria.
WWII well, we fucked up big time the, but looking a bit closer you'll find that Hitler was Austrian, too. So essentially *Austrians* are very good at starting World Wars
The wright brothers copied the successful earlier attempt to fly by the Lilienthal brothers, their only innovation was putting an engine in the thing, which was somewhat innovative.
Then what about Japan? Yen is stronger, wages are higher yet fibre optic Internet access at 100 Mbps can be had for less money about anywhere in the country.
WebGL. I see Google Maps and their newer 3D approaches to totally become one of the places where people will be happy in the future to have a 64-bit capable browser if they want to load a complete 3D high-resolution map of, say, Rome.
You've got an 8GB system and complaining about FF 3.6 memory leakage?
I'm not sure whether you are aware of it, but there's this cool way of replacing your application with a newer version (new: less than two years old). For free! It's called updating. I'm aware it's a radical concept, but try it out, it's pretty cool.
But Oracle is going to be huuuuge. And they'll totally bury crooked Amazon. And they'll build a firewall and they'll have Amazon pay for it.

They didn't find it because their censors already did away with it. Sneaky. ;-)

Have you committed a crime that kept you from accessing the Internet for that last few years?

How dare you crush his wonderful narrative with such mundane things as facts? You insensitive clod!
Did you know that 83% percent of percentages quoted in online discussion are pulled out of the quoters ass?

Hunh? Have they ever done otherwise in the past?
Maybe he was thinking of bus full of dead people or zombies.

And the worst: They stole all the source code and pirated BSD!!!!
The rest of the world will ignore Yahoo.

Actually there was another captain involved: John Barrowman of "Captain Jack Harkness" (Torchwood, Docto Who) fame being the host made my day

Well if going thermonuclear is about who's surviving longest, Steve has apparently lost ;-)
