Come on now guys, no one's used the *.an.us yet.
Think of it:
whatsinmy.an.us
ihaveabig.an.us
get.that.out.of.my.an.us
I mean sure, it's not perfect with the n and u split by the period, but it'd rock.
I've only had RR, and it flies. Except for some initial problems with the line outside (so it wasn't really their fault altogether) we haven't had any major downtimes. Maybe an hour or two once a month lately. Speeds are great too, up to 1.5mb/s. Maybe it's because one of their substations/routing (whatever it's called) is across the street from me.
i'd rather get animated with that dual moniter and tablet instead of my measly single 19 incher (I'm talkin bout my moniter, not my eh..) and tiny graphire tablet.
Cheesy Q-basic programs were fun back in middle school. A fake C:\ prompt, then either a lot of beeping and messages saying the computer was about to crash, or a lot of beeping and a fake porn bbs screen. *THAT* got the teacher's attentions.......
Nononono, but they do, according to myth. I've seen bad videotape footage of happy windows users deep in the forests in the foothills of mountains. They have pointy ears and feathers in their hats if I remember right.....
"What's next? Concrete Nikes?"
- I think the mafia already uses concrete nikes...

Y'know, you're right. I wasn't exactly thinking (even though I clearly said German SOLDIERS) that it was directed against ONLY soldiers, (and the rest of the German war machine)
I find the noise of my pc helps me to sleep when I'm laying in bed. Maybe because it might just be weird without it after all these years with it on. The noises my pc makes too sometimes help me realise it's actually doing something.

Really? How bout the french resistance fighters in France during their occupation by Germany in WWII? They used terrorist tactics and committed acts of terrorism. You can say that it was simple retaliation and a 'war' but many of their acts were meant to cause terror against the german soldiers. That, believe it or not, makes it terrorism. (in my mind, but I think I'm right here (for once))
AliG is the result of the same pool of Monty Python? That's kind of a shock to me... but not really. Anyone know if AliG can be found in the US other than in videotape form?
While Gary Larson doesn't use any specific characters (Like Huey in The Boondocks) I'd love to see some Far Side action figures. Y'know, a nice cow, a beehive-haird lady with glasses.....
Well, first off, I realise some (I admit, not all) of the ramafications of California sinking towards in the ocean. (Worst off all, 311 might go down with it, or Washington and Oregon may go down to)
My main point was just that here in the midwest we tend to only hear of the bad things that happen in California, and what's worse, we hear a lot of complaining. This may be a result of California being so big (geographically and population-wise) or maybe we midwesterners are just jealous of California and want to make it seem worse than it is.
MCLOUD!
sorry, i couldn't help it. the sad part is, I'm not 100% sure where that came from, other than Mystery Science Theater 3000. (in reference to another show)
I recently read Ishmael too, and found it to be one of the best books I've ever read. Not because of the writing technique, not because of the story, not because of anything that usually makes a book great, but because it completely changed my attitudes towards the world, especially the human condition. When the book posed a question, I often found myself putting it down and trying to think it out on my own before continuing on. Hell, it also makes me want to live a couple thousand years ago or find a remote tribe somewhere to "join".
Doesn't it just seem logical that one would develop pain and physical problems from repetitive movements that aren't exactly 'natural' (ie. typing)? I used to pitch for a few years in a baseball league, and developed problems with my elbow, and sometimes my wrist would get sore, does this fall under the same type of idea? I do agree though, that much of the hype over all this is just that, hype. As someone mentioned above, if someone feels pain, the pain is most likely there.
On UW Madison's site, it says the point of the smell is to attract flies/bugs/etc to help pollinate (I think that's the right term, plants aren't my speciality). What I'd be interested to know is, are there any carnivorous plants out there that use the same dead flesh smell technique to capture prey?
Also, why bother going to Madison? My car trunk smells of rotti - er, that's another story.
Sounds like real world Universal Soldiers...
Does this mean when tax time comes around I can deduct the cost of video game systems as an educational expense?
I wonder how the game Virtual Valerie fits into this study....
