    And these abuses, while the may be (IMO) "High Crimes and Misdemeanors", do not fit the definition of Treason.

    Don't like that? Then amend the Constitution to define Treason the way you want it.

    Been happening for years.

    Back in the late 80's, in addition to my dev job, I admin'ed a Motorola Delta 3600 box. We were looking for a little more space, manual said that it would take a Seagate ST-251N 40MB SCSI drive. So we bought on off-the-shelf.

    It wouldn't work. It turns out that Motorola had custom firmware for those 251Ns.

    So it's been going on for at least 20 years.

    NC-17 replaced X. Because X wasn't trademarked, the pr0n guys pretty much wrecked it's reputation for "mainstream" films, and X became associated with pr0n only. The MPAA made damned sure that they trademarked NC-17.

    A couple of films that were X when they were released were Last Tango in Paris, and Midnight Cowboy.

    It's a US thing. Wikipedia has an explanation.

    Brief summary:

    * G - General admission. Anyone can get in. Family fare.

    * PG - Parental guidance suggested. Anyone can get in, but may not be suitable for younger children.

    * PG-13. Nobody under 13 allowed in without an adult. Mildly graphic violence (think "Temple of Doom", which was the inspiration for this rating).

    * R - Nobody under 17 allowed in without an adult. Graphic violence, nudity, sexual themes

    * NC-17 -- Nobody under 17. Period. Extremely graphic violence, explicit sex, etc...

    We had an MSDN Universal subscription. We had a case where an app needed to access Card & Socket services to determine what actually was in the PCMCIA slot (This was under NT4).

    Nothing in MSDN. Called support and got an answer from them. Of course, they said "This is undocumented, and is not guaranteed to work on any other release.".
