BTW the best place to sit is dead center. this is not where i like but is best bc the sound system is designed for you to be there. trust me I used to install and set them up. Acctually, by sitting two thirds of the distance from the screen to the back wall and slightly off center you can achieve the best audio response to the surround sound.
Yeah, and I can buy a DELL from someone other than DELL, and a SONY from someone other than SONY. What an idiot. You can only buy Windows from Microsoft, that's not fair!! You can only buy RCA TV's from RCA! That's not fair!! You can only buy Big Macs from MacDonald's!! That's not fair!!
Yeah but at least when I go to the Mac store to buy a machine I don't have an annoying kid telling me "You shoulda bought a Dell !" At least Apple's advertising guys know the difference between a dumbass and someone that is funny.
Hosting a BBS was such a gratifying experience for some reason. It actually was rewarding for me to give a free service to the public.
ANSI art - that was fun... Wish I could remember the name of my favorite ANSI art package.... Something with a "T" I think... Can't remember.
You probably are thinking of TheDraw... however all us doodleboys used ACiDdraw. TheDraw has a linux clone known as DuhDraw.
Is DivX;) entrenched in the market? Well, how many non-technical people have heard of it? How many PCs is it bundled with? It has a reputation for being primarily used for pirated video (regardless of the truth). So, the answer is a resounding "no, it isn't entrenched".
I encouraged my Digital Video Professor here at the University of South Florida to institute divx as the codec standard for all of our projects. He tried it out and now he swears by it. I am pretty positive that divx will be used as the class standard for a while now..
divx support on a media-player would be a godsend.. are there any players that support this format yet? Divx is going to become the next-big-thing format for pc's just like mp3 did, it would be smart for devices to begin supporting it (I'm sure an 800mhz celeron w/ 128megs of ram could.. my system is slower than that and I run divx's with no trouble)
I convinced my Digital Video Professor at the University of South Florida to use DIVX as the standard codec for all of our video projects. He was largely impressed and praises it now.
Sounds like failure.
Seriously, they don't have any large partnerships to move these boxes into the home.
Yeah, hopefully this could become as popular as Neo Geo. Maybe Zap Media should form an alliance with SDK. Perhaps if they shipped it with a power pad to control your mp3s or some other wasteful piece of equipment.
Seriously though, we college kids can barely afford a Playstation 2. Where are we going to get cash for one of these? College kids are going to be the aim demographic for this thing.
Honestly, my financial aid check can't pay for this AND books perhaps reading isn't neccessary.
I contacted the local FBI office here in Tampa and they said that according to the current computer crimes law it would be alright to alter the source code of the Code Red virus and make it able to fix servers that are still open. The agent I spoke with also said I should consult a CyberLaw Attorney for more information but to her knowledge it would be legal and probably smiled upon.
Personally I see this as being a great title and the plot would go down as follows: Anakin falls in love with the Space Queen. She disses him because he is desert ratboy. So what if he has Jedi powers that wont satisfy her, she's gonna have a crush on Obi. Anikan gets all pissed off and holds a grudge against Obi and thats why he kills him in the original trilogy. Anakin flips out and steals Amildala's blood and hair and clones her. Mates with the clone or inserts his own DNA and makes the twins.
Sorry to have to spoil the next two films for you.
Many conflicts would occur in selling these to subsidize their budget, the most important being rival countries. If Russia or China were to get ahold of these bots, they could easily dump the code, reprogram it and burn the new code into the bot. The new code contains instruction to destroy the Anti-Missile Defense Shield. Then they wouldn't have to worry about the K-Treaty no longer. These droids would be designed for anti-gravity and all they need is a few instructions taken from some BattleBot machines to destroy the whole damn laser. A whole army of Space CommieBots would be an interesting sight.
Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, seems to have moved the patch so that people can't download it. Anyone know where it is now?
Microsoft removed it because Bill Gates wrote the worm. You should have seen this coming. They purposely wrote bad code so they could exploit it later in a massive attack on the government. If you were told to break up your life's work and had your superego blasted away I am sure you would try to seek revenge as well.
I wonder if their machines have the processing power to handle Guavaween and Gasparilla Night Parade. You'd figure that with the large amount of people that come down here for those you would get an lagging effect like in the NES and then they'd have enough time to get away.
