I am so happy to see new books being written about the Forth programming language, and by Knuth no less!
I was begining to worry that Forth was a dead language.
The first thought that came to mind was a scene in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode
"Time's Arrow Part 1", where Data plays poker against huslters in 19th century San Francisco. He ends up winning many hundreds of dollars.
God, what a geek I must be: someone mentions poker, and I think of Star Trek!
