That's incredible...good work! We could never do that with our product (molded plastic). Just the machinery costs alone would be astronomical. Labor would be ridiculous as well, not to mention the lawsuit risk. The Chinese aren't so bad at quality, but you have to really keep on them and check EVERYTHING. They'll screw you in a second and not think twice about it. Customs and shipping isn't a big deal...the only time we ever had something held up was when some idiot shipped wire on WOODEN spools instead of plastic and it was detained to look for bugs in the wood.

And as for this evil "profit" that's being made, you know what our investors do with money that they make? They invest it in other business ventures.

Why don't you Americans just accept that socialism can produce better athletes than your ridiculous system can create? Why do you have to blame every loss on people "cheating" against you? When your only motivation is celebrity endorsements of "barely legal" supplements (i.e. US dollars), the fact that athletes might be motivated by the simple fact of competing for their people is a thought you probably find disturbing. Turn off Fox news, get a clue.

And that will come to an end with the IPO. Google will be required (by law) to offer the highest possible returns to its investors. Google will become evil, because that's what you have to do not just to make a buck, but make the most possible bucks. It's a pity, but Google has lasted a good while, and it's been a good run.

A businessman's goal is not to make profit, but maximize profits.

Of course, it was Slashdot discussions, so it warn't that great, but it was better than the company papers I knew backwards and forwards already.

Needless to say, this was before Slashdot went into permanent "overload mode" and would display more than 50 comments at a time. I couldn't play Nethack because the laptop keyboard doesn't have enough keys.
