    The thing is, many people, myself included, think violating the Constitution is not worth it regardless of what they know. That is effectively destroying the village in order to save it.

    To his credit, unlike you, at least Obama is able to put together a sentence using proper grammar. Your inability to use English makes me suspect you are one of the people the article writes who lack the ability to judge competence in others.

    Obesity is unrelated to eating disorders. People with eating disorders have an unrealistic ideas about body size and so they will starve themselves far beyond any healthy or attractive level of thinness. For these people wanting to be thin is indeed a problem.

    I don't think that's true at all. Social networking is inherently more difficult to get into because you can't get a person to switch without getting their friends to switch first.

    Facebook's "Restricted" list does the same thing. Facebook adopted most of the good ideas G+ had within a few months of it going public.

    Did you somehow miss the fact that backroom wheeling and dealing is exactly how our congress has operated for pretty much all of its existence? However passing a bill opposed by 70% of the population could be considered bad governance, but it is in no way dictatorship. Over 500 people cast a vote on that healthcare bill. They are free to vote against the wishes of their constituents, and their constituents are free to not reelect them. Out system does not work especially well, and I frequently disapprove of the outcome but it is almost entirely unlike a dictatorship.

    Yeah, like remember when he decreed that big universal healthcare plan and it was passed without any opposition or compromise? That was so awesome how he totally bypassed the entire legislative process to get exactly what he wanted.

    It wasn't that stupid on AT&T's part, compensation for failed mergers are normal. Think of all the business T-Mobile due to FUD during the pending merger. There had to be something in the deal for T-Mobile to not get completely screwed when the merger failed or else they wouldn't have agreed to it.

    Could you try again? It's clear to any honest observer that you took his quote out of context. What he actually said is "The Laffer Curve is a theoretical construct with no actual evidence to define where it would take place". So the difference? He's not denying the curve exists, he's denying we have any idea which side of the curve we're on.

    You know what evolution is, right? A theory on how species can change over time. It has nothing to do with the origins of anything other then one species from another species. It doesn't even have anything to do with the origins of life. You may as well be pointing out that evolution doesn't explain how your coffee maker works.

    Speak for yourself. Me and most of the people I know love a lot of things about living in Southern California, but the number one complaint is always transportation, I would love to have an option other then having to drive everywhere. Have you even been in a city with a real transit system? The benefits are obvious to anyone.

    Conductor? Water vapor is actually a good insulator. On earth water vapor is the largest contributor to the greenhouse effect.

    You know the three Rs of waste reduction? "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle", you and the GP are both talking about reusing. It's not the same as recycling, in fact it's better because it's more efficient.

    How does the electoral system help? It makes it so we only have to care about the votes in a handful of swing states at most, but that's not a good thing in my book.

    Yeah, I shouldn't have said required. I knew that wasn't exactly accurate but it may as well be. I imagine the only reason why the electoral system still exists is because it pretty much always does happen to agree with the popular vote. If it regularly disagreed with the outcome of the popular vote people would see how broken the system really is.

    You seem to think everyone in the world has a smartphone so they can receive text messages over email when they are out. This is not the case. I would love it if there was a good replacement for text messages, but there isn't. If you have no use for them that's fine, but it does not entitle you to be a condescending prick. I assure you, avoiding text messages does not make you a superior person in any way.

    There's also a very good reason why the President and Vice President are elected by the Electoral College rather than popular vote (maybe you should read up on it some time)

    No there isn't. The original intent (distrust of the electorate) no longer applies because all states electors are required to go with the result of their states popular vote anyway. So while the electoral system used to have some (debatable) value, in its current form it is nothing more then a broken popular vote which counts some voters more then others.
