    What are you trying to argue, that people shouldn't be using tools? One of your distant ancestors could have just as easily claimed that flint knives are just another way to not take responsibility for mammoth killing.

    The electoral systems is actually a horribly broken system, not at all how it was originally intended. Because most states now do require their electors to vote based on the popular vote of their state the electoral system really is no longer anything more than an unfair popular vote which gives more weight to voters from small states then voters from big states.

    Most of the time the inequality of our votes doesn't change the outcome of the election, but when it does, such as in 2000, people get justifiably pissed.

    Yes, Google Voice gives you its own phone number to use and anyone can use that number to send you standard SMS messages.

    You have the right to be forced to be financially responsible for other people. The list goes on.

    Where in the USA do you live where you aren't financially responsible for other people? I'm not aware of a place with no taxes and where police, fire, roads, etc are only payed for when used. And if there was such a place, I sure wouldn't want to live there.

    That's a new one to me. I have heard complaints that many train systems would be uneconomical, in the sense that they'd never survive without some kind of subsidy.

    What transit systems do we have that exist without subsidies?

    You are comparing a phone to a general purpose computer? Why not compare it to your first phone and see how it fares? A phone isn't supposed to do everything your desktop does, but the stuff it can do is pretty amazing.

    I don't have an opinion on the green icons, I can give or take them, but the black notification bar is great. When using my phone at night I didn't like being blinded by the unnecessary white.

    You mean the largest population centers are all along the coast. San Bernardino is not on the coast and it is very prone to earthquakes.

    Flash doesn't require a firmware update. It is supported by Adobe, and they have been fairly regularly updating Flash player for Android.

    For the record though, the original droid shipped with 2.0 and it has received updates for both 2.1 and 2.2.

    Google is entirely responsible for the software on the N1 and NS, not the hardware manufacturers. Google uses these phones to develop the OS, so an update for these phones already exists before a new version is ever released to the public.

    How I hate it when people pretend that elections are some sort of a single issue ballot measure. There are dozens of reasons to be unhappy with the current party in power: a lousy economy, wars, Constitutional and civil rights issues, health care concerns, environmental issues, etc...

    Neither you nor any politician have any right to claim that the last election proves anything about your pet issue.
