Then just keep Tetris permenitly in there. That's what I do with the games I just bought that I play a lot (ie Super Mario Brothers DX) Also, the screen can't be too big or else it won't be small enough to fit in your pocket. But yea, I would like it to be bigger. And actually, in Super Mario Brothers DX, there is a little organizer. It's not too helpful, but it has a calender and you can type in little notes to yourself.
It was a mistake in the translation. It was covered in an Ask Dan article.
In our excitement about this announcement, we had a slight mis-translation of the Japanese press release. The Game Boy Advance will be able to display 511 simultaneous colors, from a palette of 65,535. However, as developers have shown with Griffey and other Game Boy Color titles, it is possible to create the appearance of more than the 56 colors normally possible by changing the palette during retrace. This makes it possible to show as many as 224 colors simultaneously on Game Boy Color, and the same trick should yield at least 4,096 possible colors on Game Boy Advance.
OMG, you don't know what Pokemon is? One of the most successful franchise of games ever? Well, to give you a quick rundown, you try to collect 150 (for now, new ones are going to be in later games) different kinds of Pokemon (really cute "monsters"). You fight them and and raise their power. It's an RPG with a collecting theme. It's highly addictive. It's spawned off a TV show, mulitple games, and you can put Pokemon on any product imaginable (watches, shirts, keychains, etc), and a movie is being released in November. And the Pokemon Trading Card game, which is sorta like the videogame, is also incredibly hot with the kid crowd. Like I said, go to your local middle school, and ask ANY kid there, and they'll tell you what Pokemon are. For some links, try these: PokeAurora Pokemon.com The Pokedex
And while I don't like emulators, I do suggest you check it out, highly recommended.
>I thought the GameBoy was already in the grave.:)
EXTREMELLY far from it. The GBC is selling like hot cakes, thanks to the Pokemon phenomon. I know you techie slashdoters wouldn't really think about it, but Pokemon is A LOT bigger than you think. Ask anyone between 5-13 and I guarenttee they'll know what Pokemon are, and chances are, they either have one of the games or play the trading card game. The GB is THE best selling system ever, and Nintendo has made buttload's of money off of it. Trust me, the GB, GBP, GBC, and now the GBA are far far from being dead.
That is weird. I've had my account since the Hellmouth(sp?) thing (when I discovered/.) and it took a while to get to moderate, but lately I've been doing it semi often. Maybe it is broken..
So what should the media be? A CD won't work because it's too big. And since some of the games have a rumble feature (the one on Pokemon Pinball sucks, it makes way too much noise) it would cause the CD to skip. I've heard stuff about the mini-Disc by Sony, but Nintendo and Sony, I don't think so : ). They make really small HD's now, maybe one of those, but how much would it cost? Remember, it has to be below $100.
2 AA's. And just if your curious, a GB site reviewed different batteries to find the best one. Not really too scientific, but interesting none the less.
Yea, it's a long time, but I'm willing to bet it'll last that long in real life. Nintendo has gotten incredible amounts of battery power out to play the GB, my GBC lasts about 20 hours on it's batteries.
I like that idea. Usually when I moderate, I just skim through the article because it's usually not something I'm interested in (otherwise I would have posted in it, and wouldn't have a chance to moderate in the story). So I would love to have a red flag to alert me to comments that people thought should be moderated up. Just don't let the person who submitted the comment do it, otherwise every post will have a red flag.
You log in one day, and when you go to read the comments, there will be a little drop down box under each post. That's how you know if you get to moderate or not. So you find a piecie of flamebait, click on the little box under the post and select the option named "Flamebait". Once you've done that, go down the the very bottom of the page, and there will be a button that says "Moderate". Click it, and your moderation takes effect.
I think he means you basically have unlimited mod points. I get to moderate about once every 2 weeks, but under his plan, I'd always get to moderate as long as my karma wasn't negative. I think it would work as long as the points were averaged.
Same thing happened to me too. I saw it on a Nintendo board, read the article, then went to post it on here Friday afternoon and then I just see it here today. All well, I'm just waiting till the Dolphin specs are released, and I can post those and prove to the Slashdotters that the PSX2 is not the end all of console systems.
I like the Playstation's anolog "feel" better (as in how high it is, durability, position) but I think the N64 controller is more manuvarable. It seems like the PSX one is too slippy so that I can't control my character as well. And the PSX controller is also uncomfortable to me. The N64 one fits like a glove. Not to mention the wonderful little Z button on the N64....
Then how come I've had software from every console I've ever owned lock up on me? It's extremelly uncommon, but it does happen. Most likely the DC locking up was due to the game software, not CE.
Something is wrong here, according to my browsers, the latest story is the "Business Software for Linux" one that was posted at 12:44 PM EDT. It's now 3:24 AM EDT and NOT ONE story has been posted between those times? Is it just my computer, or is there a serious lack of stories?
My Computer Science class is covered under the Math Department, which means we get diddly squat. It's sorta funny, because everyone of the computers in there has an Ethernet card, yet they aren't networked. And this was the FIRST year of the computer club, I was amazed when I found that out because I had just moved here. So one of the first things we're going to do is network the computers together. At least those computers are running a semi-recent OS, Windows 95. In my Web Design class, there is only one computer with Windows 98, the rest are Windows 3.1. And the one's with Windows 3.1 don't have a browser, so it's a wee bit hard to check your HTML. So we have to code in Notepad, save to disk, then go over to the "powerful" computer (like a P166) and check it out in the browser. It's a huge hassle and it really sucks.

It's a knockoff trying to cash in on the phenomenon.
I thought the TG16 was a console. I remember playing it at Toys R Us a long time ago. And so what are the specs to the TG16?

>Has to be less than 150, rough estimate by me
Less than $100 is more like it if it wants to compete with the other handhelds on the market.

Yea, the GBC. And off topic, what's IFRC? The Acronym Finder didn't have it.

That same thing has happened to me too. I don't see why it does that though, someone care to explain the reasoning behind it?

That's not a bad idea at all, I'll have to do that next time I get mod points.

I use both a MS Intellimouse and MS Natural Keyboard, and I have no complaints.
Bah, I'll take my console anyday.
