    Want to slow down spam? Have the ISP's all start blocking port 25 outbound from normal user's networks. If you have a legitimate need to send mail from your server, then you contact the ISP and they unblock your server after they verify that it is not an open relay, or you are not infected with a worm.

    90% of the spam I get these days comes from PCs that have been hijacked with a virus or worm or adware.

    So, if one does not want to get back in line to re-download the .01 iso, one should be able to just get those specific packages from slackware-current... correct?

    The Animation department is not the only one using Linux. Disney Internet Group (Disney.com) hosts some web sites on Linux servers and Apache...
    Tron 2.0 is a good example...

    I have the Sharp... Paid 399.00 for the developers version... Came stock with linux and Java installed... Works great!!!! Casio and Compaq really need to officially support linux...
    I basically have a PDA that syncs with palm desktop or outlook, and has a linux OS behind it all... Talk about a sleeper... :-)

    Forgot to mention, that the 159.00 Xt4 package included 4 phone lines (separate jacks). Your speeds do depend on distance from the CO. I peaked out at about 6Mbits down 800Kbits up... Since it is all ATM until you hit the 'net, it is great for gaming with others on ION...

    It used VoIP (Voice over IP), and they became the local loop provider... You did *not* get a phone bill from you old phone company anymore...
    Mine is 159.00, 2 IP's, and 700 minutes of long distance... What a deal... ('snif).

    An even better reference is this: Interix which is a set of unix tools... The source is released under the GPL (select the link to purchase the source).
