They would invent something and try to sell it to a company, and the company would just design their own. Without patents, inventors - especially individuals - get fucked over. In a few years, after they reap the benefits of their genius ideas, the patents expire. It's a wonderful system, given that patents aren't handed out like condoms.
Well, it's not like Forrest Gump is total shit. In fact, it's a pretty good movie. I'd say that it's a pretty close race between the two, and just comes down to personal taste.

How is this a motherfucking troll? I was pointing out that we just can't end our lives when a new law we don't like is mentioned. We can't just stop fucking everything and go protest. I have the first MAX IT7. Let me tell you, it is a pain in the fucking ass to find a keyboard with USB. I mean, you can find one - but now you've got a hella ton of keyboards that are useless, unless you buy a converter anyhow.
Besides that, it's an A+ mobo. It's nice to have some USB 2.0 and Firewire ports, too.
Linux, especially in things to do with GUIs, is not the best OS out there. Windows is leading in a lot of stuff. I just wish there were more art folks designing GUIs for the Linux devs who don't see a point for a GUI in the first place.
Timer Warner may be tied to the RIAA, but they sure as hell aren't run by them. Timer Warner is a mega fucking huge company, and it seems to me that they're more likely to control the RIAA.

I guess I can see what you're saying, but I've just expected more from Bond films since Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies, both of which are the best Bonds films in recent memeory. Perhaps due to the arrival of Pierce Brosnan?

Not really. Compared to today's processors, a 1GHz P3 is fairly cool. In fact, it can sometimes be cooled by just a heatsink.
