Aegir, Norse God of the sea's, brewed ale for the gods after Thor brought him a large kettle. Every winter the gods would drink beer at Aegir's home. He was, therefore, famed for his hospitality. Instead of having a fire, gold was put onto the floor of the hall to provide light. Gold is refered to as Aegir's fire. The mugs of beer in Aegir's hall were always full, magically refilling themselves.
Thank you very much, these were my thoughts exactly. I've spent years seeking out the joys in life, good beer, scotch, coffee, chocolates and cigars ate are amongst my favourites.
The roasters/brewmeisters/etc have developed an art and I'd prefer not to have some clod from NJ fucking with the byproducts. Put all the crap you wish in the aforementioned dunkin donuts coffee, leave the quality stuff for those of us with taste.
Good points. I oft forget others may have support issues. Unfortunately I still believe that even with 6.0 improvements StarOffice is a long way from actually replacing Word. The drones in user space are too familiar with it, and all M$ hatred aside, it's an excellent office package.
That said, I just found out that OpenOffice is now apt-gettable(likely old news)! Open Office[linux-debian.de]
From Sun:/* Thank you for your interest in StarOffice software. The introduction and availability of the latest version of StarOffice software, StarOffice 6.0, was followed by our May 23 announcement that the no-charge download for StarOffice 5.2 will be removed. As of May 30, customers are no longer able to download StarOffice 5.2 software at no charge. However, StarOffice 5.2 software continues to be availabile as either a deluxe packaged product or a slim kit. Information on where to obtain these products is given below. Customers requiring a no-charge download of the latest version of StarOffice 6.0 should go to the OpenOffice.org Web site and download OpenOffice 1.0 (source or binaries), which shares the same code base as StarOffice 6.0. */
StarOffice is no longer free(beer)? Guess OpenOffice the alternative now, eh?
Why would I complain so much about verizon?
Because I use my own domain's email address
forwarded through verizon, for now that is.
This is a serious PITA.

100% pure grade A creature of habit here. Get up, make coffee, pee, sit in front of computer and read while I polish off the pot. Then life goes on.
Good thing I don't have to be at work at 8.00 am.
