What people should go back to doing is actually connecting with people directly, and in person as much as possible, rather than the fake, sterile experience of using the Internet, which it seems to me more often than not is used to avoid actually being social. It's also screwing up the socialization of kids, especially teeangers, who are socially awkward more often than not to start with, and who need more practice socializing, not excuses to be socially avoidant.

Everyone in the world is just shining him on and humoring him until 2020, when we'll have a real POTUS again. You bet on the wrong horse (as if there was a right horse; EVERYONE got fucked in 2016, not just Democrats), just admit it, learn from your goddamned mistake, and MOVE ON yourself. The rest of us have. We just want to put the goddamned country back together and fix all the damage he's done.

Eventually it might. Stupid people, of which currently there are way too many for my liking, latch onto that and use it as an excuse to ignore the problem entirely, continue being wasteful, and even so far as to be MORE wasteful, polluting, selfish, and so on. There is literally no reason to continue using fossil fuels, and seek out cleaner, more efficient replacement technologies, but stupid, wasteful, selfish people, again of which there are way too many, just can't be bothered.

I've had it up to HERE with people's stupidity, and I'm sick and bloody well tired of trying to reason with them when they clearly aren't capable of being reasoned with. So the kid gloves come off and they can get punched in the mouth every time they say something stupid. I recommend everyone else take a hard line on this subject. It's not something 'optional' that you can just write off to people's personal preferences anymore.

Oh well I can certainly see how such a trivial issue as the Earth, being the only planet we can currently live on for the foreseeable future, continuing to be habitable wouldn't interest anyone. What's that compared to talking about yet more toys, playing with computers, screwing around with video games, and some science fantasy movie or other? We should just forget all about this silly survival-as-a-species nonsense, that's for the next generation to worry about, who cares if they survive so long as we can play all the time until we drop dead? Live for today! You're more important than everyone else on the planet, past present or future! Some girl might actually let your touch her boobies, what's more important than that! #MAGA! :-(

In his apparent mad rush to drag the U.S. back to the 1940's technologically, socialogically, and politically, the gods-be-damned Trump administration will likely defund, kill off, and bury any and all research into practical fusion reactor technology, and instead insist on building more coal-fired power plants. Give 'em enough rope, and he'll probably try to outlaw solar power and wind power, too. Never mind what that'll do even in the short term to nationwide air quality and people's respiratory health, his science adviser assures him there's no connection between asthma, and other respiratory diseases, and air pollution.

Meanwhile countries like China will forge ahead and likely master fusion technology ahead of the U.S., and rub our faces in it in front of the rest of the world, making the U.S. look like even a bigger laughingstock than it already has been made to look like in the last 2 years, if you can believe that's even possible.
