    I got a DS for Christmas and the only native game I've found that isn't kiddie shit is the Spider-Man 2 game that came out at launch.

    all you're saying is that Macs have better hardware integration with the OS (when you control both like Apple does, that's easy) and don't depreciate as much as comparable PCs. That doesn't help at all with the upfront cost.

    A lot of people in the 'geek community' that gave this book rave reviews and SF awards also had childhood experiences similar to Ender's, where they were used for various selfish purposes by the adults in their life. If you didn't go through something like that, the book will resonate less with you.

    Same here, I'd love to go mac if the following two problems could be corrected:

    1) the overwhelmingly higher cost of Apple hardware
    2) the complete and utter lack of new game releases for Macs.

    If I were only into FPS (there's a mac version of UT2k4, right?) or could get my gaming fix completely from a console #2 would be a non-issue, but you'd still have #1.

    Apple is only showing contempt for the average consumer with its lack of quality hardware at affordable prices. the Mac Mini? please.
