Almost every company has T&Cs that offer them quick & easy ways to fire you as a customer. You're frothing at the mouth over something near to meaningless.
If you've got evidence of Google kicking off customers for running their own private mail server or OpenArena server. Please present it.
By presenting this as a net neutrality issue you're exposing yourself as a deluded "but, but, it's the principle of the thing!" idealist. Maybe you should come back to the real world.
Personally, I'm glad that service providers have clauses to make sure that people aren't running high traffic servers on the internet server that I share with them. If they need that kind of access they should be putting their servers in a datacentre like the rest of us. Not degrading home internet to save a few bucks.
You are completely wrong. Every single ISP in Australia does not allow servers on residential connections. Go read their T&Cs. That's what they have "business grade" ADSL for.
Now, whether they'll actually use that to kick you off their network is unlikely, but they CAN. And if you piss them off they probably will (having worked at several ISPs in the past I've seen it happen a couples times). Thing is, with limited upstream why would you even bother when a VPS can be found for cheaper than a residential connection.
By the way, you'll find that most of Australian ISPs actually use static IPs these days. TPG certainly does (my ISP).
Just because you've not "come across it" and haven't had it used against you doesn't mean that our ISPs don't have the ability to use it as a weapon against you if they want to.
Actually there's nothing wrong with an open source "monoculture" - maybe if everyone used their own fork of webkit web development would be simpler without any of the players being able to stop innovating without falling behind.
Just because the consoles can do hardcore graphics doesn't mean it has to. That's up to the publishers, but goddamnit, sometimes I want some "woah" inspiring graphics, so I at least want my hardware to be able to do it.
The success of the Wii is a red herring. It was a novelty that ended up being relegated to the back of the TV cabinet, which is reflected by no one being impressed with the WiiU and its complete lack of good games a la the original Wii.
Hand held touch devices are not competing with the consoles. No one that wants to play the games on consoles is going to rethink their decision because of the games that are released on tablets & smart phones.
I'm sick of hearing about games on smart phones being a threat to traditional gaming. They're two different things. Sure I love playing Angry Birds or FlowFree when I'm sitting on the bus heading to work, but I'm never going to choose a smart phone game over a console/PC game when I actually have set time aside to *game*.
As others have noted, Wikipedia is pretty much the only website that has even implemented src-set. This is not a big problem. This is a very minor problem.Maybe if the whole world was using src-set then it would be a big problem, but they're not, and won't be for a long time seeing as none of the big 4 browsers have implemented it.
Maybe before we rush to adopt automation we should stop to consider the consequences of blithely giving this technology such a central position in our lives.
Why would you use the obviously inferior GIMP, when you already own CS3,4,5 or 6?
The real answer is to stop upgrading until something better comes along. Now whether that option is Adobe Cloud (which I highly doubt) or another competitor is to be seen.
It's not just discrimination against the dads, it's discriminating against their wives - implying that they should be the stay at homes and how dare they want to get back to their career, which may or may not be better than their husbands. And let's face it, I'm sure their career has a better future, considering they're not working for Yahoo...
I have a question for you, how well do you think Germany's & Sweden's export economy would be doing without Spain & Greeze keeping the Euro down? The European Union is a scam perpetrated by the West of Europe on the East of Europe.
Pfft. It's apologists like you that really annoys me. Win7 has type ahead as well. And it's definitely useful, I use it all the time. What it doesn't do when I access the Win7 start menu is disconnect me from my current task/context. Full screen menus are jarring and when all people use the Start Menu for is a list of applications, it's completely unnecessary.
I would go as far to say it's not even necessary for tablets, and a swipe side menu would be really goddamn cool.
Stop making excuses for Microsoft's bad decision making regarding their UI, just because you've found it tolerable.
Just because you don't like DRM, doesn't mean you can justify pirating it. They've chosen to release their product with DRM. Don't like, it don't buy it.

That's the joke.
Chechyan rebels? And what religion do you think their creed flies under?
Putting the HFT systems in the same environment as everything else seems rather stupid.
If women are so smart then why are they using rails?

This here. Refer people to the public repository that has commit dates etc.
Gotta spend money to make money.
E-books should still not be more expensive than the paper-back. Why is this so hard to fathom?

Opera. Best text-wrapping of all the browsers.

But it's not GIMP and it never will be.

ERMAHGERD YOU CAN SEARCH THE GIGANTIC SCREENMENU!

"CloudStack provides an open and flexible cloud orchestration platform to deliver reliable and scalable private and public clouds."
When I go to an "About" page, I expect to be told exactly what x thing is all about.
As it stands, I have no idea what CloudStack is or does, apart from nonsensical "cloud" mumbo jumbo.
