Being a recently laid off web developer I find myself watching more tv than before (don't tell the friendly people at the unemployment office). Typically its because I find shows to watch on tvguide.com and I turn on the tv to take a break from my computer for an hour or so. I also leave the tv on while I'm working from my home occasionaly (in case the latest Britany video comes on or something else distracting). I don't necessarily see the link between large amounts of tv viewing and loneliness unless its seen as a symptom of loneliness perhaps. I find television to be relaxing and engaging if you choose particular shows that spark your interest. Although I seem to be trailing off right now as a Space Ghost rerun comes on.....
Back to my point, I find that I can be very productive while the tv is on in the background and if you need to take a break when a good show comes on you can relax while still keeping your mind somewhat stimulated.

Plane sound good? dont have enough room in your seat to type with a full sized keyboard so this will work quite nicely.. its also compact so its easy to lug around too..
Not to be nit picky but, do you bring your desktop computer on a plane with you? If so, let me know what airline you're flying.
On another point, how is this more convenient then a palm portable keyboard? at least for PDA's. I mean the size of the device looks larger than the keyboard when its folded up and that's without carrying around some sort of paper guide as others have suggested

Whats to stop these publishers from directing people to other subdomains that aren't labeled? This sounds like a rather large loophole in their policy. I guess if I ran a pr0n site I could label the index page, advertise only unlabeled subdomains and be protected from lawsuits. Sounds like the geniuses at SafeSurf did it again!
Maybe they'll hire mafiaboy to do a DDoS attack against all the people who share files since he was so effective against Yahoo, Buy.com and others. They'll probably hire a bunch of script kiddies that claim they can hack and the whole idea will kind of fizzle away after they realize the only people smart enough to code this won't sell their souls to the record industry.
I have the Presario 1700. I ordered it custom. The computer is actually at Compaq's repair center right now because the AC adapter turns on and off when using the computer and it has fried my battery, completly so it won't hold a charge. System board is shot as well. Odd coincindence to see this on/. Thank god for the warranty.
BTW- its been 2 weeks and they still haven't fixed the comp. to and mailed it back.

The irony here is that all you people complaining about how the corporations are attempting to rip you (the public) off by auctioning off the analog spectrum when they were given additional spectrum for free. You will be posting complaing about the high costs and evil corporations ripping you off for your HDTV, 3G cell phones and PDA's and higher speed wireless internet access.
As popular of a notion of blaming everything on Corporate America is in this country. You might want to consider this, more money for corporations means lower prices and faster rollout of our beloved 3G technology.
Now, I realize that companies with the likes of Microsoft are inherently evil (.NET) but I still believe in the values of Capitalism and the free market. Lower costs means lower prices in the long run.
Did anyone actually to expect the corporations just to happily hand over 70 billion dollars? Of course they will fight and probably win, but just consider although the downside will be the continuance of rape of the public by corporations there will be will be added benefits to you the consumer in the form of lower overall costs for everyone.
Besides, if the gov't took over the old airwaves they would squander it or sell it off and use it for some unecessery pork bill or yet another raise for our poor senators.
Can't have it both ways, but since "We the People" will lose anyways might as well look to the upside.
