  1. Javascripts on Information Valuation - The Most Buck for the Bits? · · Score: 1

Let's see, my new javascript function today brings 2000$, it's 451 characters, so that's 4.4 $ per byte. Damn, I feel ripped off ;)

  2. Asynchrony on SourceForge Terms of Service Change, Users Unhappy · · Score: 1

Maybe you should check out Asynchrony, they host Open Source Projects for free.

I dont know how good/bad their policies are though.

  3. We already have it in Belgium on German Government Introduces Digital Signatures · · Score: 4, Interesting

Just last week I set up my life insurance,
and they used the chip in my bank card as a digital signature (together with the code).

The nice lady all explained me on how the Belgian State now accepts these digital signatures and how great that was.

Mind you, that I reside in a farmer community, I wonder how the farmers react ?

    Greetings.

  4. XOLOX is the name on UDP + Math = Fast File Transfers · · Score: 1, Interesting

    The program was called xolox,
I know the developper personally and he is very disappointed about the corporate feedback he got.

People loved it, corporations didnt, so he shut down his site and with it Xolox ( unless you have a hacked version of course ;)

    Cheers.

  5. Re:About open source and leadership... on Free Software Leadership · · Score: 2, Informative

    You are getting close,
but in corporate environments they use this military concept of lines.

First you have first line of support : these are the guys that handle all the FAQ & stupid questions & flames and whatnot.

Second line of support : they get questions from the first line of support where you actually have to look at the source code/tables to find out what is going on.

Third line of support : they are the guys that rewrite code if the second line of support has found a new bug.

I kind of cant belief that none of the bigger Open Source projects work like this.

    My 0.02 Euro.

Well the life of Erdös was quite interesting and at some parts tragic.

    A great read :

  8. Why are there only American airplanes ? on More On Tragedy · · Score: 2, Informative

    Look,

what happened in NY is a real tragedy, but it's not a reason to start spreading BS.

    Scuse me,

I read in this 'Canadian' letter there were only American airplanes ??? Do you know that Airbus is a European airplane manufacturer that beats Boeing ?

Great speech about Americans, just not very fact based.

Oh, and you know that the foundation of space technology ( both US & Russia)is made by EUROPEANS (German guys after WO II) right ?

Duh, another post that will be modded down, why do I bother ?
Duh, I wont even post anonymously.
